It's a wonderful, picturesque place—perhaps even more authentic than it appears in the movies. There are charming shops, excellent restaurants, and lovely cafés, making it a delightful place to stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere

Positive: Picturesque architecture with a 19th-century feel...
Positive: Picturesque architecture with a 19th-century feel throughout the downtown. Hudson is a useful overnight point for travelers arriving by rail from south of NYC and continuing onward by rail to western NY state or Canada (Toronto or Montreal).
Negative: Sky-high meal prices at restaurants: for 2 people, breakfasts $50 up; dinners $125 up.

It's a bit worn but very beautiful rooms I really enjoyed myself while I was staying there I almost thought it was haunted because of all the creeks and bumps in the night which I realized was the refrigerator that they provide LOL but the stuff is very helpful and reliable and if you're alone they make sure that you feel safe and I definitely was very comfortable so if you're coming here on a budget and you don't know the buses and trains around here they are very reliable

The parking is a bit tough without reading carefully. The town is adorable, I last visited in 1990s when more run down, now it is trendy and seems like Brooklyn, haha. Food is good.

Hudson is easily reached by Amtrak from NYC and we didn't need a car. There was plenty to do and see just walking around Hudson, and there are some excellent restaurants. If you're looking for cannabis products, you certainly have your pick of dispensaries, and there are many clothing stores, craft shops and galleries. It's fun to just look at the beautiful architecture, which is labeled with the period it was built. You can really be lazy there and relax in any of the coffee bars, and the incredible lounge at The Maker Hotel. And if you do drive to Hudson, there's plenty to see in the area.

The owner, Steve, was welcoming and made sure everything was fine in the room. Kitchen very well equipped and would be more than adequate for an extended stay. It was very quiet, no traffic noise overnight. It was only a few miles outside Hudson and easy to find. Wifi worked well, didnt try the TV. Bed was very comfortable. No breakfast served because the owner had recently been ill. Friendly cat.

Shower over the bath so plenty of elbow room
The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful

Very cozy place to stay in Hudson. We stayed one night and used it as a base to visit the Catskill mountains, it is perfect for that. There was no staff in the premises, but everything went smoothly.

Hudson is a really nice place to visit, the property is very stylish and in a great location. The balcony/porch is a lovely place to sit and spot fireflies.
