Located in East End, Tortola, Lambert Beach Resort features an outdoor swimming pool. Staff on site can arrange airport transfers. Obviously it's still post hurricane and they aren't anywhere near 100% back yet. There's currently no pool, restaurant or bar and there are workers fixing things. Most of the vacation villas are empty, gutted shells with parts of their roofs missing. BUT - the rooms that are being rented out are near the edge of the property, private and fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable with a great bed and big comfy towels. Really nice place. The staff is great and helpful (and we loved their little dogs!) Plus, they warned us ahead of time about the lack of food or services so we weren't surprised, which another hotel the week earlier DIDN'T do.... And they paid for the taxi which took us to a wonderful restaurant in the East End for dinner. Finally, we had a fantastic beach all to ourselves with excellent swimming. It's a really great value if you don't mind a quiet place. Also, only a short drive to or from the airport.
This tropical hotel offers a private pool and private beach overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Guests have access to beach and pool equipment. The villas feature a full kitchen area. It is located right on a secluded beach, it was perfect! Also, the dessert from the hotel's restaurant is amazing.
The staff, especially Beverly was very friendly. The room was antiquated and the property is under renovation nearly 18 months after the hurricane. There was no water in the pool and I was not notified of construction noise and the lack of a pool and a real restaurant at a location which is far away from everything else on Tortola. You would definitely need a car. I had no hot water and a cold shower in the morning did not make me happy! I know the BVI were hit hard by Irma and Maria but there should have been notice or a discount. For $270 for 2 nights which included 4 beers, 1 sandwich of mostly bread served with Fritos and 1 fish dinner and the 2 paltry breakfasts with awful coffee- it had to be the worst value for my $. I hope they can improve.
Tortola, BVI is a raw, rustic beautiful Carribean Island. I loved Smuggler's cove, getting there was an adventure in itself, rough bumpy roads , Jeep recommended. The kids loved it. A hidden jewel. Nigel's bar was also a highlight with grilled shrimp and hotdogs with sautéed onions from grill. Great stmosphere, wonderful people. Then there was Josiah's Bay a dreamy Beach great for a family learning to surf and for those more experienced. There were always waves. Body boarding Was also a blast. The staff at the surf school were brilliant, thanks again Steve And Icah. We spent 10 days on the beach and after the initial lesson they still kept their eyes on us, full of tips and help. The lifeguard was very attentive. Great fruit smoothies at the bar. We recommend renting a Jeep. The roads are bumpy... we loved it. Catamaran trips to Virgin Gorda, ferries to Jost Van dyke and Anegada. Next time we are going to try the Canopy Tour. Soper's hole Marina for drinks, Lunch, dinner and shopping. Trellisbay market is also a must. Fresh lobsters from Zack are a must. Lot's of fun in the sun, snorkeling, surfing, body boarding, diving, catamarans And island hopping.
