The boundary of the municipality is the river, I was surprised at how long it took to reach the town. The town is African, I did some shopping but didn’t explore much beyond the hotel. In the morning I drove on the rough track which is the direct route to Isandlwana battlefield. The road was very rough, surface badly eroded by rain. Approaching Isandlwana I drove down a steep hill with a very poor surface which I would be unlikely to get up if I was going the other way. I returned to Nqutu via Rorke’s Drift and almost reached the edge of Dundee before I got to the Nqutu turning.
