The most beautiful baobab trees form part of the owner's farm, just a stone's throw from the Kruger Park's Pafuri gate. He has furnished the chalets very neatly and comfortably. The entire area, including the camping area, is kept extremely clean.

Everything was perfect. Our whole experience was exceptional. The view from the rooms on the river bank added immensely to the experience and the personalized service made every minute a treat. We liked the addition of the porridge pre game drive at 6am and the way you spaced and served your delicious and well thought out meals. Our game drives were so personalized and exciting and our guide Andile was superb , enthusiastic and deeply seeped in the knowledge of the Pafuri environment. It was a unbeatable 4 days in the most amazing environment. Thank you to all concerned.

We were on a one night stay having exited Kruger at Pafuri Gate,so the location was perfect as we needed to stay in the area. It was a fraction of the price of the lodges at Pafuri so we didn’t know what to expect, but we were so pleasantly surprised.We booked a safari tent, which was such fun and super comfortable. We had pre-ordered our evening meal which was absolutely delicious and servings were generous. Moses and Solomon were excellent hosts and very informative about the area. The lodge is in lovely surroundings and has a beautiful pool area.

We chose The Outpost Lodge for an impromptu 30th anniversary getaway. We have always wanted to visit the northernmost part of the Kruger to see how it compares to the rest of the park. The Outpost is situated on a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River and the view from our room was breath-taking. The contemporary open plan rooms have retractable remote-controlled blinds, that offer uninterrupted views of the river when open. It was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience to sleep with no walls between you and the wilderness. On the second night, we were treated to elephants trumpeting just outside our room! The lodge is situated in a private concession. The staff mainly consists of members of the Makuleke tribe. We were treated like royalty and no effort was spared to make our stay a memorable one. It is evident that the staff are extremely well trained, but also that they love what they do. Our room was immaculately clean, the food was 5-star and wherever we went, we were greeted with friendly smiles. The fauna, flora and vistas in this part of the Kruger is by far the most impressive of the whole park. We were fortunate enough to visit both the Lanner Gorge and the Fever Forest on game drives. This is not the area of the Kruger you should go to if you want to see the big five, as you probably won’t, but that said, there is still a decent amount of wildlife to see. We saw elephant, zebra, nyala, impala, baboons, kudu and hippo.
