We were only there for a weekend to attend a wedding, and would have loved to stay longer and spend a bit more time on the nature reserve. We didnt get a chance to explore Tulbagh and next time would like to do that
Tulbagh is a very small town but it is of historical importance. They have a street containing the oldest Cape Dutch houses which are of great interest. The public have access to many of these buildings and are in original condition. It has a great atmosphere. There are local wine farms offering fantastic food and wine.
Duikersdrift-excellent value picnic baskets, fantastic food. Not licensed yet, so take your own. Reflections guest farm excellent but Tulbagh Hotel still our favourite. Can't wait to return in June for Christmas in Winter festival.
Peace, quiet, friendly staff and great mountain setting. I loved the fact that it was a fruit farm and Tulbagh town is very pretty. The mountain passes are great to motorbike and explore. We went to Ceres and over Baineskloof pass and OppiBerg. We will be back. We ate at the Tulbagh Hotel ; good; but quite small portions; and had a pizza takeaway the next....cheaper and better than home.
Some great restaurants (we ate at Paddagang and Tulbagh boutique hotel). Picturesque setting and historic buildings in Church Street. Lovely weather for our trip. Small village, fairly remote. Tulbagh-Ceres steam train trip is fantastic (only runs fortnightly on Saturdays). For a longer day trip, this train leaves from and returns to Cape Town.
It's a very small town, with friendly people,if you want to just relax and shake off the city stress, it's the perfect place.the pace is nice and slow, you can walk everywhere, and if you need more excitement Ceres and Riebeeck Wes is just a short drive away.
The Old Parsonage is a gorgeous Cape Dutch style house in a large beautifully and very tasteful restored ensemble. Paul, the owner, has invested plenty of energy, expertise a love to detail to create this outstanding gem in Tulbagh. Every room has its own charm tastefully completed and perfected with modern furniture from Weylandts and superb pieces of art. We enjoyed our stay very much and will certainly be back.

We had an lovely time in Tulbagh, thanks to Mirna and her kindness. She upgraded us to the chalet overlooking the field and even arranged to have breakfast served 1h earlier than scheduled. The accommodations are beautiful, roomy, decorated with taste. The pool was so welcomed under the heat of early summer. A short drive to downtown Tulbagh, the place is like heaven on Earth. We will most definitely come back

Beautiful location in the hills above Tulbagh (complete with mooing cows and crowing roosters) just a short drive from the centre of town. The cottage itself is very spacious, with comfortable living areas and bedrooms, and plenty of firewood for the fireplace and braai. The freshly-baked carrot muffins in the morning were a lovely touch.

Location was superb! Close proximity to excellent wine farms and close enough to the nearest Spar for essentials. Tulbagh was hot, the pool at Raptors was so inviting and refreshing to lounge with snacks and beverages. Clean and catered for everything you would need in a kitchen away from home. Will definitely be returning. Thank you

We attended a wedding in Tulbagh and booked accommodation at Manley Wine Lodge. We were upgraded to the Jackson's hour which is a self catering house just outside of town. The views are breathtaking and it is quite and out of the hustle and bustle of town - although still close enough to go out and buy groceries or do sightseeing. The house is a historical monument but very nicely refurbished. We stayed very comfortable! We can highly recommend this property!
