Boasting garden views, Grey Oak Holiday House provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 9 km from Natural History Museum of Zimbabwe. Wow!!! This place is unbelievable!!! The value for your money can’t be beat. The house is beautiful and no detail has been spared. My partner and I arrived in Bulawayo during the night, the entire neighborhood was without electricity, except for Grey Oak, because they have solar. The whole experience was so great that we decided to return after our trip to Vic Falls.
Bulawayo is very clean city, very spacious, no traffic congestion and its just good, good and if the authorities could think like most of us, it could be the capital city. I am a shona from Mutoko Mudzi and I stayed in Bulawayo in 1990s I know. There are so many favourite places in Bulawayo where one can enjoy
Local people were friendly , on the second day of my stay i felt free to move around without and fear, it was very easy to drive around in Bulawayo. When i needed petrol the garage attendants were helpful.
Bulawayo is fascinating for its history, its wide, wide boulevards, its old colonial buildings, its lively street scene and for its art gallery. The National Gallery of Zimbabwe-Bulawayo is a very special place with a great shop selling local crafts. The city is very easy to get around. Best of all are the warm and friendly local people. And don't miss a trip to the nearby stunning Matopos.
A warm and friendly city, with big wide streets and wider smiles 😀 A visit to the city's wonderful natural history museum is highly recommend, the displays are interesting and informative and extremely well laid out. The railway museum is another must, full of old trains and carriages you are free to explore them at your leisure.
