My partner and I treated ourselves to a stay at The Flower Yard, not only for its special ambiance but also as a base to explore the awe-inspiring Great Wall. Little did we know that our experience would be completely transformed by our exceptional host, Angel. Her hospitality and warm welcome rivaled the finest Michelin-starred restaurants, making us feel like VIPs. The comfortable accommodation provided the perfect rest after a day of exploring the wall, rejuvenating our bodies and souls. Angel’s attentive service extended beyond our stay, as she diligently arranged transportation to and from the wall and recommended delectable restaurants in the vicinity. We are already planning a return trip with our family, eager to immerse ourselves in the full splendor of Flower Yard and its offerings. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. She called us when we got lost, found us, picked us up, and dropped us off at the Mutianyu Great Wall entrance. The entrance to the Great Wall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and very easy to get to. If you get up early you can beat the crowds from Beijing who arrive around 9:00 am. We had the Great Wall almost to ourselves! Breakfast was Chinese style and excellent. They also make great dinner upon request. The host was quick to respond to any of the requests we had. Rooms have recently been constructed and are clean and spacious.
