This house was very comfortable and relatively central in Karakol. The house is massive for two people, but it was nice to have our own space, and a kitchen to cook in, plus a washing machine to use. Wifi was fast, and the big screen TV great for some movie nights. The hosts very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions we had. Highly recommended for a private home in Karakol.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this chalet! The panoramic windows provided a breathtaking view of the mountains, and the furniture inside was top-notch. The owners were also incredibly friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed and made my stay as comfortable as possible. The location of the chalet was perfect, it was secluded and a bit away from the main ski village, so it was quiet and private. It was possible to ski in through the forest if you are a confident rider, adding a nice touch of adventure. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with my experience at this chalet and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable and private ski vacation.

The hospitality of the host and family was exceptional. They showed us around, made amazing food. The location in this quaint little village was refreshing and comforting. The pond, the farm and the nearby area was nature in its purest form.

I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Altyn Arashan. The host, his family, and everyone there are incredibly kind and helpful. However, I don't advise driving your rented car to this location—the road is full of stones, holes, and mud. Either walk if you have some spare time (it's about 15 km) or have the owner, Marat, pick you up near the Ak-Suu forestry in Teploklyuchenka town, just south of Karakol. The drive to his place takes about 2 hours and is a truly wild and exciting experience. Furthermore, if you plan to visit Ala-kul Lake, you can either go on foot or rent a horse (and a guide, which is recommended if you don't know the route and lack horse-riding experience). One more thing—when you return from Ala-kul, I highly recommend visiting the hot springs. They are not very expensive and, with the lower evening temperatures, you can enjoy soaking in the hot water. I will definitely return to this place if I ever visit Altyn Arashan again. Great experience! P.S. The Ala-kul Lake in June might still be frozen!
