We had a great time in Casa da Costa! Maria is one of the best hosts we have ever had! She was very attentive, and communicative. She treated us like family! We stayed an entire week, and at some point, we ran out of wood for the fireplace. The house has inverter units, so it wasn't an emergency. However, Maria came quickly and brought us more wood! We were welcomed with Alvarinho wine, fresh bread, "happy cheese" from the Happy Goats of Melgaço! Other goodies and of course Maria's beautiful smile! The house had everything we needed, was spotless and we loved to use the fireplace and the grill! It was spacious and had a nice kitchen. We also loved the location, as it was quite centered between Melgaço, Castro de Laboreiro, and part of Geres National Park! We enjoyed the silence as we walk at night. We even bought eggs, wine, and choriço from a neighbor and those were delicious! The views from this house are incredible! We would love to return one day, and I recommend Casa da Costa to anyone that is looking to have a unique experience!

We loved the house itself. It was pretty big for the 3 of us, and felt very cosy. The terrace is also huge, but it rained frequently so we didn't get to use the grill. Castro Laboreiro is a rather genuine place, where mass tourism is not welcome. The trails are a bit wild, but some pretty accessible. You should try to do a jeep trip to the Planalto, and visit the Ponte da Cava Velha.

Beautiful house and surounding, well equipped kitchen and a nice owner. We would have liked to stay longer (or forever) Nice garden, private parking. Perfect for a family or a group of friends.
