Located next to Urho Kekkonen Natural Park in Kakslauttanen, Polar Aurora Cabins offers self-catering apartments with sauna housed in log cabins. Free WiFi is available. Everything was great. The Cabin was spacious and clean, and it was very comfortable staying there. There was a kitchen complete with cooking equipment, with plates, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, so you can cook your own meals and keep your costs down. There’s a coffee machine too. If you book airport transfers with them, they will take you to the supermarket first before proceeding to the Cabin so you can buy everything you need. The hosts Jaana and Mika were very kind and gracious. They even allowed us to check out late for free when they learned that our flight would leave at 6:00pm. If you’re thinking of spending time in Lapland, stay at Polar Aurora Cabins. You will not regret it.

Perfect spot to spend a few nights with friends and explore the Ivalo and Inari area. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the living room is cozy and the bedrooms are comfortable. Bed linen and towels are provided. We had an issue with the sauna and the host was very responsive and made her best to resolve the situation as soon as possible. Highly recommend!

We just loved everything about it! The location: easy to reach by rental car from Ivalo, yet totally surrounded by forest with a stunning lake view through large panoramic windows facing West. The interior: the welcoming atmosphere with christmas/winter decoration, very comfortable beds, the sauna and rain showers, the fully and stylishly equipped kitchen, the exterior with snow shoes and fat bikes for free use, and last but definitely not least: the very helpful and prompt communication with Jarkko & Hannika. We spent nearly a week in freezing winter wonderland with Northern Lights and the most beautiful weather. What a great start of 2024! This place is definitely a 11/10.
