We toured by bus then train from Poderica to Skadar. The train is primitive. We were dropped off far outside the unannounced station at night. we jumped down from the open door onto the tracks more than a meter below with our luggage in a dark forest about 500 m. from some lights in the distance and Nancy has mobility issues. The hotel family picked us up an hour later..the station was closed. The family was gracious.

He took me to a private boat tour on the lake, which was the highlight of my stay. The place is nice and clean, and where I stayed, there was a communal kitchen to prepare little food and keep drinks in the fridge.

In general, this place can be good choice if you want just to chill in the mountains, alone with the nature, far away from the touristic hell on the sea shore/Bar city.

One of the highlights was the surprise breakfast prepared by the host in the morning – such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made us feel very welcome. The whole atmosphere was peaceful and quiet – ideal for rest and relaxation. There’s also a great outdoor space for grilling and dining, with stunning views of the mountains. Everything was perfect – from the comfort of the home to the warm hospitality. We would definitely love to come back again!
