Perhaps trying just a bit too hard. Very rural and totally quiet, a delight of birdsong. Extensive grounds to explore. We didn't use the spa but others recommended it. Friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Exceptional dinner but there is no option to the 3-course fixed price menu. Well located for RHS Rosemoor, the coast (fabulour fish at the Sea Gate pub in Appledore) and Exmoor.

Excellent facilities with free use of the pool and gym. Bedroom was spacious and well laid out and immaculately clean. Restaurant onsite was worth a visit, could not fault the food, service or staff.

The clubhouse also supported a fine swimming pool/Sauna/jacuzzi/gym etc. These facilities were all free to hotel residents. The golf was only £15.00 a round to residents and easy to book. The food was excellent. Set in a peaceful Devon countryside. Great for a chilled break or holiday.VivianYoung couple
