From the moment I was picked up at the airport, my stay here was exceptional. I felt genuinely welcomed by everyone — the receptionist, the staff, the waiters, and even the chef, who personally made sure I was happy with my meals. The waiters were always attentive. All the staff had great local recommendations. Meeting the owners in person made the experience even more special. Their warm hospitality created an atmosphere that made me feel like home. It’s a place I will be coming back to. I can’t recommend it enough!

This may be the most enjoyable hotel experience I've ever had. Enjoy a cocktail while watching an elephant splash in the water hole, learn about the hotels animal conservation efforts at the Vulture restaurant experience, be entertained by a family of monkeys on your balcony. The food and cocktails were superb. The staff made you feel comfortable and went the extra mile to take care of you. The facility was spotless and ample security. I am a senior female solo traveler and never questioned safety. I wish I would have stayed longer. Shout out to Emmanuel my porter who took extra care during my entire stay to make sure it was perfect.

Located within an 1.2 mi of the Victoria Falls, Ilala Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel set in expansive gardens. Location is a walking distance from the falls, very nicely design hotel. You can hear the falls and see the mist. The nice location allowed us to go back to the room midday to take a break.
