It was a gorgeous complex located at the very shore of the lake. There’s a gorgeous park behind and super close to the train station. They also have parking for extra charge but very convenient.

We had a unique experience in the enchanting setting of Hallstatt Lake. Our host, Mark, warmly welcomed us in the festive atmosphere of the Salzkammergut home. The comfort and service provided to us are truly exceptional. The room was of good size, with carefully chosen and tastefully integrated details that provide warmth. The bed was very comfortable, with a selection of several pillows, and the bathroom was impeccably clean and functional, with snowy white towels. Everything was spotlessly clean and smelled fresh. The bathroom cabinet contained a set of high-quality personal hygiene products, and ladies would be delighted to find a night cream for the face. The window in the bathroom contributes to natural lighting and energy savings during the day, as well as providing an opportunity for natural ventilation. Our room had large glass doors and a balcony, allowing us to wake up to an incredible view of the surrounding mountains and the lake. The dining room, traditionally decorated in wood and warm tones, whets the appetite in the morning and provides comfortable daytime accommodation, along with a unique view of the lake and Hallstatt. The breakfast was incredibly delicious, abundant, and diverse. Every morning, we were offered freshly baked, homemade bread (made by Mark's son, who came from England to spend the holidays with his parents), as well as incredibly juicy and tasty muffins made by the hostess Jane. I regret not asking for the recipe, but I hope Jane will leave it in the reply. Mark generously shared advice on visiting significant local landmarks, transportation, restaurants, food, and ski resorts. This small family hotel is excellently positioned for exploring the lakes and Hallstatt, going to ski resorts, taking the train (the train station is just a few minutes from the hotel), visiting Bad Ischl or Bad Aussee, or even Salzburg. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this accommodation a 12, and I hope to be there again in the summer.
