The breakfast buffet has an excellent variety of regional meats, eggs, fruits, and breads. It’s only a short walk to the train station. They also offered the Ticino Card, which made access to public transportation easy! The hotel is family run. Nikoli was very helpful with information about the area. Would definitely stay here again!

The Romantik Hotel Castello Seeschloss is located on the lake-side promenade of Ascona, 300 metres from the centre. It offers historic-style rooms and free internet access. Absolutely perfect. If you want to feel welcomed and relaxed- that’s the place. The receptionist was really nice, the room was clean and comfortable. The pool, the garden, the restaurant all perfect. I highly recommend.

Right on the shore of Lake Lugano, this family-run 4-star hotel offers restaurants, free WiFi, and a south-facing outdoor pool with direct lake access. The centre of Lugano is a 10-minute walk away. Location was amazing, right at the lake. We only had one night at the place but we had a nice drinks outside in the evening, breakfast with the view (amazing options, including some prosecco) and chilled at the pool for half a day. They have a secured parking nearby (you can unload the car at the hotel and then take the car, 3 min walk). Rooms were just the right size with very comfy beds.

Once a patrician residence built in the 18th century, the Hotel Tamaro can be found right on the banks of Lake Maggiore in the centre of Ascona. definitely the best position in town.. large rooms beautifully decorated

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. good location, shared kitchen is spacey, close to the train station

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. The old building itself, its history and decor made it my favorite immediately. The rooms were very clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful too.

Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. Location was the best, the room was really comfortable for 4 people and the view of the lake awsome. We would like to especially thank Elissabeta for her impecable service.
