We went to Badaling Great Wall so easily for a day trip by taking the subway to Beijing Bei (North) station (Xizhimen subway station on Line 2, Line 4 and Line 13) and bought high speed railway tickets to visit at short notice and at a very cheap price. We would highly recommend getting a private bus trip via Trip.com to Jinshanling (Great Wall) which is about 2 hours outside Beijing by getting the subway to Dongximen subway station. This was the highlight of our stay, much quieter than Badaling, cheaper cable car and vast parts of the wall to explore if you have the energy and time. Beijing Shadow Art Performance Courtyard is a must stay, nestled within one of the many historic Hudongs of downtown Beijing. You will not be disappointed and only left wanting to explore this amazing country/city more.
