Binuksan noong Abril 2013 nang may bagung-bagong facilities, limang minutong lakad lang ang Hostel Kyoto mula sa JR Kyoto Station. The location was excellent. only 5 minutes away from kyoto station. the staff were also very friendly and spoke good english as well. the beds were alsocomfortable as well. Excellent value for money.

A 1000 year-old Buddhist temple, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in offers Japanese-style accommodation, a beautiful garden and free WiFi. Staying at Eko-in was an exceptional and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend booking the Okunoin cemetery night tour—it was both atmospheric and deeply moving. The meals are fully vegetarian and beautifully presented. If you're not a fan of tofu, some of the dinner dishes might not be to your taste—but that, too, is part of the cultural and spiritual experience. I was initially anxious about sleeping on a traditional futon, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfortable and added to the overall sense of authenticity. A truly unique stay.

Very friendly, helpfull, just great. The breakfast was very nice with the choice of Japanese or Western. Both changed every day so very nice to try the Japanese version. The room was very Japanese and a nice change from western style. Slept on the floor but suprizingly comfy. Onsen very nice and warm.

Ideally located just a 2-minute walk from lively Nishiki Market and Ponto-cho Street, Matsui Honkan boasts large public baths and chic Japanese-style rooms. We had an amazing stay here. The place was incredibly clean and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our time there and believe that booking just one night is perfect for anyone visiting Kyoto.
