Generous breakfast served in a lovely courtyard. Helpful staff who organise tours and transportation. Overall very good value for money and highly recommend.

Aliya Resort and Spa - Thema Collection is set amidst lush tropical foliage. Situated just opposite Sigiriya Rock, the resort boasts an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and 4 dining options. Loved the hotel and the overall set-up. The views, the food, the spa and the swimming pool were all stellar!

Plus the decor, interior and view from the property was wonderful. Great hospitality provided by the team. You can easily spend a day or two exploring the 98 acres.

Sigiriya is located within the Cultural Triangle of Sri Lanka, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Featuring the best view of the Lion’s Rock, it offers an outdoor pool, restaurant and free parking. Overall, stay was pleasant, and we as a family enjoyed a lot. The food and rooms were superb. Lobby restaurant (bar) service is top-notch and very Frednly. Even pool attendants were so friendly.

I extended my stay at the hotel because I liked it so much. I highly recommend joining a guided tour of the hotel and also walking through both wings on your own — you will never see the same natural views repeated. The buffet was outstanding — it felt like a celebration. I have never seen such an impressive variety of choices anywhere else. The rooms are cozy and compact, and I slept very well. The staff were attentive and responsive, and they helped us resolve an issue in the room quickly. I also recommend going birdwatching: there is a beautiful lake nearby. A non-motorized boat ride at 6:30 a.m. is an absolute pleasure.
