The breakfast was mind-blowing. There was a huge platter of fresh and in-season fruits, spreads of all kinds, and many Moroccan specialties. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and the coffee and tea were delicious. This hotel was one the nicest in all the hotels we stayed at in Morocco. It has very beautiful inside, very tasteful. Our room was gorgeous The location was perfect, right in the heart of the medina, but I still felt it was very quiet.

Dar Yanis is just a 5-minute walk from Rabat’s medina and the beach. It offers a shared lounge with a flat-screen TV and a library, as well as free mint tea and Moroccan pastries upon arrival. I don't know where to start because everything was excellent. I'd have to say that if you are looking for an authentic, welcoming place to stay that feels like you really are somewhere special, this is the place! I will start with a lovely breakfast with fresh ingredients. The room was cozy and the furnishings were rustic and authentic. It has a charm that you will not find anywhere else. The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice. The neighborhood was convenient. Just off one of the main roads, so it was quiet. But it was close to the main shopping areas; the central market was only a 5 minute walk. The kasbah was a 15 minute walk. Plenty of shops and nice restaurants around. But what takes the cake is the service, the people. The people who greeted us and made us feel welcome made us feel like we were part of a family. I do not say this about many places I visit. People around the world have been nice, but the family who run Dar Yanis, and the people of Morocco in general, are some of the loveliest people we have ever met. Thank you to the staff who made our first time on the continent of Africa an unforgettable experience. We are looking forward to our next visit.
