The lagoon is gorgeous and full of marine life and we were even able to make a small ecosystem aquarium complete with hermit crabs, starfish, sea urchins, plankton, seaweed, and sand and shells. The location is excellent as it is within a 8 min walk to Au Bon Marche (large french supermarket) where you can find everything you need to make delicious meals at amazingly low prices.”

“We had a very pleasant, enjoyable stay at Moyyan. Hotel had us picked up and dropped off at the airport. That's a plus. The rooms were lovely. Tastefully decorated - rustic yet had all the modern amenities to make our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Loved having a french coffee press and milk (not powdered creamer) in the room! We enjoyed the lovely view and sound of the beach right at our doorstep. Most if not all of their units are facing the beach. Cant go wrong with any room you get. I loved how the trees and its branches were touching the water (depending on the tide). It's so unique and adds charm to the place. Their restaurant served amazing, fresh food daily and they changed their menu quite regularly. Variety of choices. Those lobsters and crabs we had were beautiful! You must try their Santo beef before leaving the place! Breakfast was included and consisted of fresh pot of coffee, orange juice, fruit platter, muffins and toasts (plus several choices of cereals). I'm not a cereal person but I have to say I enjoyed having them every morning. One thing I liked about their breakfast was that food is served ala carte (when you are ready) and not sitting for hours exposed on a buffet table. There are only 6 villas, therefore service is more personalized. By the way, Claudia who works at night makes a mean Pina Colada!!!! Lovely lady! Greg, the manager, was always around and helpful with tips and suggestions. He made sure everything went smooth with our excursions and met our needs (taxis,bikes, snorkel gear, etc.) Very happy we picked Moyyan! There are several hotel choices out there. But this place definitely made the final leg of our South Pacific trip memorable and worthwhile. Thank you, Moyyan!”

I had no idea that the stay in this place would be an experience of sorts when I booked this place. You could very well spend all your vacation in this resort and still be yearning for some more time here. Objective of my visit was the Tanna volcano, so I did not pay much attention to the hotel when I booked it, but this place took my breath away when I actually saw it! Sally and Damien were the perfect hosts, always staying on top of things! Room and bathroom were beautiful, spacious, and extremely well maintained. Beds were very comfortable, and house keeping was impeccable! Most impressive part was Damien going out of the way to book my last minute tour to Tanna with "Atmosphere" and making arrangements for them to pick me up the next morning when the weather got wild and heavy rains seemed to make the tour almost impossible the next morning. Damien called several places and made sure we got into the next day's flight for Tanna. This he did in the midst of taking dinner orders for all other guests when the place was full. You could order food of your choice and they would try to fulfill it to your liking which was great :) Wifi was very good too. Overall, a great experience, although it was very short unfortunately.”

The garden of the hotel is beautiful and the restaurant garden is decorated with art from the owners, a different touch compared to the more anonymous upscale hotels in Vanuatu. The breakfast is complimentary and very delicious with fresh fruits and excellent coffee. Food at the restaurant is very nice, you can also find the famous coconut crab on the menue. Owners and stuff are very friendly and helpful and make sure that you feel at home.”

“First of all I want to thank Richard and Suzi for their care and hospitality as a whole. No less thanks deserve Marta and her daughter; your cooking result was not only delightful but with harmony with this piece of remote paradise on earth. What I like? Everything. If you want to relax and experience piece of mind with amazing surrounding this is right place. I cannot describe the feeling while before sunrise sitting on the grass, opposite of the volcano, and listening to voices of awakening nature coming from the forest in the valley, and from time to time broken by the thunders originating in the crater... Or at the dusk, listening to different voices of world going to sleep, and watching the smokes arising above the canopy and fireworks above the crater... One must experience it himself. The location cannot be better. There is great choice of accommodation around volcano, but I think this is the best view and location. Perfect temperature as well; neither too warm. nor too cold About the standard: the facilities are very simply - this is not Sheraton or Hilton, but bungalows are comfortable enough, no reason to complain. There is running water, not hot, but with that climate there is absolutely not need of it. There is not electricity supplied, so, Richard puts on generator in the evening for some 2 hours, in order to let the guests to charge their devices. If I will visit Tanna again, I will visit this place as well, absolutely. Still in Australia I heard that many people in Tanna have poor access to buy clothes. I took with me few kilos light clothes with the purpose to share with them, as I was advised. And that was good idea. Please, do it as well - that will cost you nothing, as everyone has some in stock and no in need anymore, and you will make them happy, and they really deserve some gift. Thank you Richard, thank you Suzi, thank you Marta!!! You're very lovely people.”
