It was very quiet at night and we could see lots of stars in the night sky. The hot tub was sooooo nice to have after a day skiing, actually anytime was a good hot tub time! We could watch deer walking along the cliff above the river right outside our back porch. The XC skiing conditions are amazing. The people at the XC skiing information hut were very knowledgable and friendly. The quaint western themed town was right outside our door allowing us to walk around and shop easily. The book store in town is outstanding!! We brought precooked frozen casseroles for our own meals most of the time but went out to the Mexican restaurant, sorry I can't remember the name, the food and service was great. What I liked: The location was excellent—very central and convenient. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a restful stay. Breakfast was good, and the person serving it was friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated the easy access to parking and the availability of parking space. What I didn’t like: Unfortunately, the room lacked basic amenities like a toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers. I had to request each item from reception, which they did provide, but these essentials should be ready in the room upon arrival. Additionally, I was charged more than expected. My booking was for $818.92 USD for 2 nights and 3 days with breakfast included, but my credit card was charged $916.67 USD. The reception did not inform me about any extra charges, and I only noticed the discrepancy after returning home. This lack of transparency was disappointing. Beautiful little town, especially at Christmastime, with wonderful decorations. Chick-Fil-A is conveniently located, lots of little shops and a great Mall. Port Angeles is a good mid-point between Port Townsend and Neah Bay Indian Reservation. Waterfront area is the main attraction in P.A. with several restaurants to choose from. I love staying in Wenatchee. Because the weather is always great when we go. And the city is perfect for walking around or driving. You can get around very easily. It also has a lot of great places to eat. And stores/shops if you need to purchase anything. In addition, everything is close. Even East Wenatchee isn't that far to drive to. Bellingham has a really nice safe vibe. Family friendly, no skyscrapers, easy to get around. Lots of great restaurants, coffee houses etc.We much preferred it to the big city vibe in Seattle.
