Silver Cloud Inn - Seattle Lake Union

Hotel in South Lake Union, Seattle

Featuring a 55-inch flat-screen cable TV in each room, this Seattle, Washington hotel also provides free WiFi. Bright, spacious rooms include a microwave, refrigerator and coffee facilities. For us, main concern was safety (due to Seattle's "reputation" for homeless/antifa). This place was great. Gated, carded parking underneath hotel. Quiet area surrounded mostly by business/ commercial/"nautical" operations. Several nice restaurants in walking distance. Low traffic road. Near Seattle center and downtown Seattle (but not easy walking distance). Adjacent to I-5, but building was totally sound proof. PLUS the hotel was one of the best 3 star hotels ever. Everything was a bit "extra nice" - Great beds, nice layout, convenient make/up sink and mirror outside of bathroom proper, larger room, nice couch to watch TV, higher end decor, unique corridors (no long hallways), really good complimentary breakfast, some rooms have Lake Washington views, super speedy internet (we stream a lot), and great in-room coffee (it is Seattle after all). Appears to be a "Seattle based" motel chain - they really knew the hotel/motel business in designing the hotel.

FAQs about hotels in Seattle

The Emerald City

Nicknamed the Emerald City due to its lush greenery, Seattle is best known for its great waterfront, fantastic skyline and infamous rainy weather. In reality though, the city gets less rain a year than New York or Atlanta!

One look at Seattle’s skyline and you’re immediately drawn to the iconic Space Needle. Standing proudly at 600 feet, this major landmark features a rotating restaurant at 490 feet and has been featured in numerous films and TV shows, including the classic "Sleepless in Seattle."

The Needle isn't far from the popular Pike Place Market, a public farmer’s market selling fresh produce and crafts from local farms and independent merchants. It’s also the place where the Starbucks Corporation was founded in 1971. Enjoy a cup of coffee in their original store! Seattle has many popular parks and, thanks to its mild marine climate, is a great place for outdoor activities. A visit to Kerry Park to admire the best view of the city with Mt. Rainier in the background is a must!

Arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re only about 35 minutes from downtown and whether you’re looking for a hotel with free parking or near the airport, Booking.com has a great choice for your Seattle trip.
