Mayflower Park Hotel

Hotel in Downtown Seattle, Seattle

Built in 1927, this historic hotel located in the center of Seattle is within a 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market. It features Andaluca Restaurant and Oliver’s Lounge. We had a great large room with 2 beds to accommodate 2 friends travelling together. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Enjoyed their sister bar, Suite 410 lounge just a block over. Food in the restaurant was excellent - both dinner and breakfast!

The Paramount Hotel

Hotel in Downtown Seattle, Seattle

Featuring a fitness center and restaurant, this modern Seattle hotel is 10 minutes’ walk to Pike Place Fish Market. I almost never ever give 10/10 reviews! Well done, Paramount Hotel Seattle! We travelled to Seattle from Asia specially for the Alaska cruise. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I did take pains to call to verify information with the hotel reservation department beforehand, there was an unexpected complication after we checked in. There was great service recovery from the front desk staff and duty manager and everything was settled without additional fees. In terms of service, I would like to especially thank Mara for her all-encompassing thoughtfulness and care for our stay. I had several requests or queries during my stay and she took the time to take them aboard patiently and helped me through every single issue I had with a genuine and solicitous manner. The warmth and care emanating from almost all the staff was very obvious and I felt that they were very willing to go above and beyond to make the guest feel welcomed. We even had a touching welcome card and little gifts in our room upon checkin. Many of the staff were also local to the area and were able to give practical travel tips/ restaurant recommendations readily if Eric, the concierge staff, was either busy or off-duty. During my travels, I have come across many hotels have staff who aren't from the area so they aren't able to give such good tips for the area. They also provide coffee/tea all day in the front reception area. The room we had was also big and spacious with a nice coffee maker for artisan coffee sachets and a super plush, high quality bed which is more akin to the kind of beds I have encountered in top 5star hotels. We really got to sleep very well at night! =D In addition, we chose the hotel because it was close to the airport link at Westlake Centre and close to places we wanted to go to. The area around hotel was also not that noisy and we didn't feel unsafe when walking around the area at night.

FAQs about hotels in Seattle

The Emerald City

Nicknamed the Emerald City due to its lush greenery, Seattle is best known for its great waterfront, fantastic skyline and infamous rainy weather. In reality though, the city gets less rain a year than New York or Atlanta!

One look at Seattle’s skyline and you’re immediately drawn to the iconic Space Needle. Standing proudly at 600 feet, this major landmark features a rotating restaurant at 490 feet and has been featured in numerous films and TV shows, including the classic "Sleepless in Seattle."

The Needle isn't far from the popular Pike Place Market, a public farmer’s market selling fresh produce and crafts from local farms and independent merchants. It’s also the place where the Starbucks Corporation was founded in 1971. Enjoy a cup of coffee in their original store! Seattle has many popular parks and, thanks to its mild marine climate, is a great place for outdoor activities. A visit to Kerry Park to admire the best view of the city with Mt. Rainier in the background is a must!

Arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re only about 35 minutes from downtown and whether you’re looking for a hotel with free parking or near the airport, Booking.com has a great choice for your Seattle trip.
