Nicknamed the Emerald City due to its lush greenery, Seattle is best known for its great waterfront, fantastic skyline and infamous rainy weather. In reality though, the city gets less rain a year than New York or Atlanta!
One look at Seattle’s skyline and you’re immediately drawn to the iconic Space Needle. Standing proudly at 600 feet, this major landmark features a rotating restaurant at 490 feet and has been featured in numerous films and TV shows, including the classic "Sleepless in Seattle."
The Needle isn't far from the popular Pike Place Market, a public farmer’s market selling fresh produce and crafts from local farms and independent merchants. It’s also the place where the Starbucks Corporation was founded in 1971. Enjoy a cup of coffee in their original store! Seattle has many popular parks and, thanks to its mild marine climate, is a great place for outdoor activities. A visit to Kerry Park to admire the best view of the city with Mt. Rainier in the background is a must!
Arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re only about 35 minutes from downtown and whether you’re looking for a hotel with free parking or near the airport, Booking.com has a great choice for your Seattle trip.
Beyoncé concert and the air b&b we had to stay in because comfort inn north and north Seattle is TERRFYING with prostitution ramped. Made me sad. Great restaurants in Downtown Seattle and friendly people I would avoid NORTH SEATTLE
Seattle will forever have a place in my heart because of the incredible memories I’ve made there. The city smells pretty bad when walking around but the experience of Pike’s market and the ferries is like no other.
Its a nice but expensive place to visit. You can visit tourist places in 2 - 3 days (downtown places). There are many places to eat (some of them are rated as excellent but there were just good). You can easy move by bus, train or walk.
Best part of the trip was definitely a visit to Olympic National park. If you are visiting Seattle, use at least day or two to exploring the beautiful nature around the city. Are you a hipster or otherwise bohem? Then Capitol Hill is the place for you. Souvenirs? Head to the Pike Place market. Like running in peaceful greenareas? Washington Park arboretum is worth for visit. Need a perfect picture of city skyline? Climb up to Kerry park.
All of the main attractions we went to were well worth the visit, Space Needle, Big Wheel, Chihuly Glass & Gardens, Pike Place Market, The Monorail and the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. Buses were frequent and the monorail so easy to get about although we did a lot of walking! We ate in many different places but the sea food restaurants on the piers were good. Only downside is the number of homeless people on the streets in Downtown.
The city skyline is beautiful. You can see it from multiple angles around the city’s parks, space needle, & boats. There is a homelessness issue. But if you’ve been to or are from Los Angeles, then you’ll notice it’s bad but not as bad. The busses, trains, & ferries were daily easy to navigate. I liked the food as well. The bars are expensive- think Los Angeles downtown. The people seemed friendly. Hiking there was rewarding & I got to see 3 waterfalls.
I loved the modernity of the rooms and overall hotel. It was comfortable and we were even upgraded to a high floor from which we could see all of downtown Seattle. The security at night was friendly and would greet my dog and I every time I took him out to use the restroom. Everything including pike place market was within walking distance and the surrounding areas felt safe. Was overall a great hotel and would definitely stay here again. 100/10
Great stay at the heart of downtown Seattle and near the connvention center. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the standard Mariott breakfast. If you have stayed in other ones in the US, it should be almost the same, which is good. Everything is nearby, so you can walk everywhere or take a short Uber trip to some tourist attractions. The wifi was ok too. Typically what you would expect for free wifi from a hotel.
Belltown, Seattle
Great location as near to downtown (easily walkable to market/shops/ferry) while being in an interesting area itself with restaurants just around the corner. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Free bikes (did not use them but great to have them). Roof terrace was available; and easy laundry facilities in the hotel. Cold water and coffee always available. Nice to be in a smaller 'non-chain' hotel.
Great location close to the metro station towards Downtown Seattle with multiple rock clubs and restaurants nearby. The staff recommended us where to go for food and it was amazing. Overall everyone we met at the front desk was really helpful and very nice. Our room was spacious, with comfortable robes and sheets, which we really enjoyed. The hotel is modern and nice looking.
This is a great hotel for a visit to Seattle. It is in downtown but it is easy to Uber around to other neighborhoods from this location. You can walk to the Public Market. Many excellent restaurants you can walk to as well as a great downtown organic grocery store close by.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location couldn't have been better. We were going to a game across the street and it was an easy drive to get to downtown or the freeway from the hotel! I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Seattle!
Chosen for location without being supersized chain hotel. Was perfect for Downtown, nice walk to water front and easy access to the monorail and light rail system. Rooms are avg for city hotels, not spacious but have endured smaller in NY. Good shower in bathroom.
The hotel is centrally located in downtown Seattle, and it was okay, but a little too pricey for what it offers. To me it was a very plain hotel. I liked the least, the bathroom in my room. It was very small and uncomfortable.
It's a very nice modern and funky hotel in the great location, right in the downtown of Seattle. Lots of cool hi-tech features in the room. Loved the you could control everything with one device
The pool with hot tub is a really great feature for a hotel in this location. Very good shower in the room too. Location in between space needle, downtown and pike place so all are a short walk
The Sheraton Grand Seattle is right in the center of downtown. Pike Market Place is walking distance as well as other attractions. Very happy with the hotel and the accessible location of it.
The location was great. We had a waterfront room with a balcony that was lovely. The hotel is within walking distance of the whole waterfront and all the piers and the market and downtown.
Very clean boutique hotel. Great location. Very close to market, foreshore and cruise ship terminal. Easy walk from airport link (get off at Westlake). Full size toiletries
Lovely, classy hotel in a perfect location in downtown Seattle. Amazing breakfasts as Andaluca - can't wait for their restaurant to open for dinner!
Attractions were close to the hotel and convienient In downtown area. Defenetly I'll book here again next time I visit Seattle.
Excellent hotel in the heart of downtown Seattle!!
