Our apartment was much bigger than I expected (on two floors) and had two bathrooms and a second (locked) bedroom since I had asked for a quiet room. The whole place was pretty quiet, anyway, and well soundproofed. It was centrally located, close to several tram routes but also within walking distance to the free city tram. There were also several great restaurants close by. There were laundry facilities (which we didn't need to use) and very friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure our stay was a comfortable one. It was super-clean, and the bed was comfortable. This place would be ideal for a family, especially for a longer stay than just the weekend.

I stayed here for just under 2 months. The apartment was exactly what I was looking for and it’s a perfect base in the very cool neighbourhood of Fitzroy (and extremely close to the CBD / central parks). Don’t be put off by negative reviews on here, you’re getting what is advertised, a basic apartment. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a base to work/explore Melbourne
