Spectacular setting overlooking a river. The tents on platforms with views of the jungle/river were exceptionally beautiful. The restaurant setting and the food were excellent as well. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Banyuwangi.

Wonderfull owner helping me out for the Ijen hike, Its 40 min drive by scooter. He arranged a gas mask, health report and entrance ticket. The houses are cute with good beds. Quiet really pretty environment between the rice fields. The location was easy to find even in the dark, just Google Maps.

The owners were super friendly and hospitable. We got there really late after a long drive from Bromo and they made fried rice for us. How super nice. The next day after Ijen they even made breakfast for us. I didn’t know breakfast was included. Even without breakfast, the accommodation price is a super deal

This was absolutely the best accommodation we’ve had in our trip across Java. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived late without dinner and they brought us a snack and a delicious welcome drink. We felt right at home instantly. The location is absolute perfection with a beautiful farm where all of the produce for your breakfast comes from. The house itself is impeccably decorated in a traditional-meets-modern style (for Indonesia) and the sounds of frogs and insects will lull you to sleep. Consider spending 2 full days here, it’s more than a stop over to visit Ijen Mountain. The walks through the rice fields and villages are among the best we’ve experienced. 12/10 would recommend.

Featuring a garden, FAREL HOMESTAY KAWAHIJEN provides accommodations in Banyuwangi. There's free private parking, and the property features a paid airport shuttle service.
