It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Boasting 4 indoor/outdoor hot spring baths, Yuyado Unzen Shinyu is located a 30-minute drive from Shimabaragaiko Train Station. Free Wi-Fi is available at public areas. We had in-room onsen, which was amazing. The public onsen was also good. Dinner in a private room for our party was delicious. The town is very convenient to the mountains and the rest of the Unzen part of the national park.

Unzen Kyushu Hotel is a minute's walk from Unzen Jigoku and an 18-minute walk from Unzen National Park. The ryokan features luggage storage space. Great view from room. Bed is comfortable and felt as if I’m at home.

It’s right in center of the town, the host provided useful guide to the mountains. Free ticket to the onsen! Besides all that, we had a hot pot together with the host and his friend! Unzen Miyazaki Ryokan features a 1,650-square-meter Japanese garden, natural hot spring baths, free Wi-Fi, an on-site bar, cafe, souvenir shop and an exclusive lounge for... Excellent in all aspects. Good room size, nice mattress, has private family onsen, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious and fresh breakfast and dinner. Located next to a national park, very convenient for morning and evening walks.

Had to leave early in the morning and they offered me right away a bento box for breakfast. Loved the pond view. Welcome drink green tea. Great dinner and friendly staff.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The food was amazing, but there was too much food and my partner and I couldn't finish everything. They had a nice variety of onsens, both private and public.There is plenty of private parking for the hotel just around the corner (after making the first left). I can't speak Japanese, but the staff was very friendly and patient with us! We used Google translate to translate the menu and paperwork. Thank you so much to the friendly staff, I definitely want to stay here again!
