I had a fabulous stay at Hotel Ambassador in Kathmandu and would highly recommend it. The location is very good, close to Thamel which is a very lively area and the Swayambunath temple and Pashupatinath temple is easily accessible by the hotel’s taxi. The Kathmandu Durbar Square is close by to the hotel. The hotel staff are very nice, helpful and so polite. There is a lovely open air restaurant on the top floor which was enjoyable. Breakfast was great. The hotel organised a free drop off to the airport which I thought was a very nice gesture. I would definitely like to go back to this hotel

Honestly, I was hesitant at first because of the hotel’s rating on Booking, but I’m really glad I went ahead and gave it a try. The hotel is genuinely excellent by every standard — the cleanliness is outstanding, the staff are wonderful and very welcoming, and the location is great, close to embassies and all essential services. When I looked into the negative reviews, I found there were only two, and as the owner explained, they were extremely difficult to satisfy. I wish them all the best, and I would definitely stay here again.

The location is great, 20 minute walk to Thamel area the main tourist area. The hotel is very clean and the room very spacious. Bed was very comfortable and provided with kettle/tea/coffee in the room. The staff are very friendly and helpful and helped me with any queries I had. Area also very quiet so get a good nights sleep. About 20 minute taxi ride to the airport.
