We had a really wonderful stay! The hosts were so kind and the food was some of the best I had in Albania. The room is not heated but they provided lots of warm tea and extra blankets. We enjoyed spending the evening with other guests together in the warm kitchen. It’s about a 25 minute walk to the start Valbonë pass.

The place was a cute authentic guesthouse where we stayed at the owners residence. The food was fantastically made fresh by the mum everyday. The breakfast was delicious and very filling. We also decided to eat dinner twice at the place at a small charge of 12 euro per person which was amazing each time and she even prepared us lunch for one of the days at our request and a small charge. We were able to speak to the mum in English one way or another and we could easily speak to the dad in Italian. Their son spoke very good English too. They were very accommodating and we loved our stay at this guesthouse. Our room had a small porch/ terrace with a sofa and coffee table and a beautiful view of the mountains. The bedroom was quite dark but to be honest it was perfect to sleep in a little more in the morning. We definitely would recommend.

This is an amazing opportunity to stay with a local family in gorgeous valley surrounded by mountains. The bedroom is upstairs by an exterior and private staircase with its own bathroom. There were 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms but we were alone since it was a bit off season. We spent our time hiking the area and relaxing in the yard. We ate breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse and the food was fresh, amazing, bountiful and a great value. Be sure to eat here. I requested vegetarian and it was no problem. The hostess and owner is just lovely. I can’t recommend this guesthouse enough. Hands down the best experience of our trip. A real cultural treat. Don’t miss it.

With tourism sure to boom here shortly, it’s so amazing my to see NeoKulla - a long standing traditional guesthouse surviving and modernizing while still keeping Albanian flare at its core of the stay. I’d stay here again a million times over. Food is amazing; staff and owner superb. STAY HERE! Support local. Location was perfect after hike over the pass, and if you are planning to summit rosni peak- it’s ideally situated beside the road to the trail head.

We had an incredible stay at this property! The rooms were impeccably clean and boasted an amazing view of the Valbona mountains and river. The soothing sound of the river flowing was like a beautiful symphony for our ears. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the delectable traditional food served, and the service was top-notch. Soni, in particular, stood out with his exceptional service. Booking this property turned out to be a stroke of luck, and I'm already looking forward to visiting again in the future.

The hotel was clean, and the staff very attentive. We especially loved the STRONG, hot shower after doing the long hike from Theth. The room is well supplied with essentials, and provided a nice place to relax after the hike.
