Everything!! It was a true Greek home. Beautiful, comfortable, ultra clean. Two private terraces with an incredible view and gorgeous sunset each evening. I got a bit lost on arrival, but Yiorgos came to collect me with an amazing greek welcome. He was so friendly and kind and brought me fantastic breakfast of fruit, nuts bread, cheese and liqueur. I didn't have to buy food for the rest of the day! He also helped me with advice on the location and surrounding area for my hiking. The house is charming and in a peaceful location in the mountains a short distance from the Rotonda restaurant with great views over the Naxos mountains and the village and mini-market a short walk away. In a very quiet residential area and only a few minutes walk to tavernas and shops. There is also a traditional wood fired bakery close by. The accommodation is very secure with a lockable external door which leads up to the terrace. The bathroom was very good, the only criticism is that the light in the bathroom was somewhat dim. The kitchen was well equipped with a full electric cooker, microwave, large fridge freezer and plenty of crockery and utensils. The only thing missing was a smaller saucepan which Martha quickly remedied. Martha left us a selection of fruit, teas, coffee and local produce.

Staying at this place was such a precious experience. Huge beautiful historic house in a charming village. We would love to come back with more people. The host was very attentive and their detailed recommendation on beaches and restaurants were extesnsicve and very much appreciated. We stayed there for three nights but we wished we stayed longer. We didn't get to hike and we wished that we explored the village more. We fell in love with Naxos and we hope to go back again soon!
