Beautiful views over the town and Borobudur temple. Villa was very comfortable and Staff were very sweet and helpful (despite some language barriers).

We stayed for 2 nights at Dagi Abhinaya #2 which had the best sunrise view of Borobudur at 4:30 am! Although we arrived slightly after 8 pm, Ms Astuti the receptionist arranged for us to be taken to the restaurant where they served us afternoon tea of brownie and a sweet pastry with coffee/ tea. Our dinner orders of fried chicken and rice were promptly whipped up by the restaurant. The staff waited patiently for us to finish our meal and drove us to Dagi Hill (5 mins away) and another staff stationed there carried our bags to the cabin. My son was happy to find his extra bed ready and tucked in quickly. Kudos to Astuti the receptionist who made sure that all our needs were attended to (from arranging the timing for breakfast, mini-bus pick up from Dagi to the restaurant) so that we made it right on time to the lobby at 8:30 am to get our tickets and slippers, and meet with our guide before taking the buggy to the temple entrance ( right across the restaurant) just before the 9 am ascent. Astuti also helped to arrange for a driver/guide to take us to Candi Selogriyo. On the way, Mr Widodo took us to experience a local resto that served getuk pisang (banana snack) and a batik art store that had awesome hand-painted Borobudur batik. On the 2nd day, we upgraded to a picnic breakfast on Dagi hill (with full view of Borobudur) and they served an exquisite dessert of pancake and palm sugar syrup sauce, assortment of fruits, rice with stewed beef in a weaved basket box, fish soup, whole coconut with bamboo straw and herbal drink. The meal was accompanied by soothing gamelan music, and we learned to play the congkak game. As we stayed 2 nights, we got to climb up the temple twice (tickets and guide included) and enjoy it thoroughly!

All the staffs are friendly and helpfull, especially mba Angga and Pak Moi. I enjoyed delicious meals and found the staff to be attentive and courteous throughout my stay. The location was convenient, allowing easy access to Plataran Borobudur where we had a wedding invitation.

The staff and the owner were exceptionally helpful. They managed to secure for us tickets to Borobudur despite last minute requests. The location is spectacular, right next to the river. Being in the hotel compound feels very serene; you would never know that you are actually very close to the busy main road! The hotel can be a one-stop destination for family’s vacations because you can book all the activities through the hotel. We did the white-water rafting, which was excellent! We did not try the horseback riding… maybe next time!

Room with pool had a nice view of Borobudur. Limited menu but the food was good. The temple was only 15 minutes away by car.

The property continues to as Beautiful and Nostalgic as when I first visited 20 plus years ago, and bringing my family there for the first time could not have felt better!! All the Staff from Ibu Lily and Pak Imam at Reception, to Housekeeping, Garden staff, to the Restaurant could not have been more open and warm, which made for an Absolutely Wonderful stay!! Next time we Must stay longer!!

I liked everything from the moment l arrived. I had read some of the reviews and hesitated to book but l absolutely loved the hotel. It is on the main road but l had a perfect sleep, l had a room with garden view and it was excellent, spacious with dresser wardrobe kettle nice lighting and a big nice bathroom. I enjoyed the pool so much. I felt like l was on a vacation because the garden gives a vibe of a tropical setting. The staff is so sweet, too.
