We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. You are made to feel at home and the family takes great care of you. The room was beautiful, large and clean. The breakfast and tea were always delicious. The sunrise canoe tour the owner, Mr. Suresh arranged was incredible and a great price. Mr. Suresh also made sure we saw all of the best parts of Munroe Island by taking us on his motorbike. We were happy to be his second guests from the USA :) If you are coming to Munroe island you have to stay here.

I initially booked another place with good ratings but it was cancelled a week before my travel. I randomly booked this place without much expectation. But this place turned out to be way better than all expectations. There are only 4 rooms but the property is beautiful, clean, cozy and serene. The owner of the property is very very nice and he even showed us beautiful picturesque places around in Munroe Island. He himself maintains the property and his wife is an amazing cook. The dinner and breakfast was tasty. The rooms are super spacious and clean. Infront of the rooms there are small benches to sit and enjoy the calming winds in the evening. I will definately visit again.

I had a delightful stay at Mundro Bright Homestay. The room was spotless and equipped with all the essentials. Vidya, the host, was incredibly helpful, addressing our queries and fulfilling our requests promptly. The highlight was the picturesque canoe ride they arranged, offering a mesmerizing view of sunrise. Highly recommend for a pleasant and accommodating experience.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Deepa is a wonderful host. She helped us arrange activities like kayaking and canoeing, she and her family Made a range of delicious curries for us and she is also a really lovely and interesting person to talk to. Very clean room with good AC. The manager Sreenath was great to deal with and had great English and communication skills with recommendations for restaurants, kayaking and cycling. He knows everything about the island. He arranged a canoe trip at sunrise which we highly reccommend and it was cheaper than the other boatmen that tried to get us aboard over the next few days. The boat skipper was cool, calm and peaceful and they picked up and dropped off in the canal at the front of the property. The Sunrise trip was lovely and we would thoroughly reccommend it. It seemed there were many more tourists on boats at sunset and the wind is quite often blowing so wake and go early for the best experience. We only saw maybe a dozen tourists at sunrise but there were hundreds at sunset from what we saw. There was a nice Kerala breakfast each day (different each day for 3 days). We arrived a little late by train so the first night we had dinner at the property too, vegetable curry and chapatis were good. There is a lovely seating area at the rear of the property with a few chipmunks and birds and a hammock to lay in too. Bed was nice and firm and though we thought at first the bed was a bit too hard we slept very well here. We extended from our original stay it was that good. At this price point for this location the AC room and breakfast included is excellent value for money. Book ahead to avoid disappointment. Cold filtered water available always so you can refill your bottles to prevent plastic waste. The property is also a massage centre and they sorted my sore shoulder very well. Doctor definitely knew the anatomy of my shoulder workings very well.

I could not recommend Valiyath Homestay enough! The Valiyath family welcomed us into their home and cooked delicious meals for our breakfast, lunch and dinners. The Homestay was clean, quiet and a 5 minute walk to the water. They helped us to arrange a boat tour, a sightseeing tour and a rickshaw to our train. We are looking forward to coming back!

The place is extremely calm and the staff kalaiselvan service was good. The food was very good and satisfying. I would suggest taking a village boat ride in Animol's boat was very friendly 5/5.

The staff behaviour was excellent.. The manager was too kind and well organized to arrange everything in time.. took us to a wonderful canoe ride in evening.. he was kind enough to arrange another boat ride in the morning.. nothing can beat their hospitality.. Amma prepares the best authentic kerala food...
