The apartement was in a beautiful location and the room with three beds and attached kitchenette was adequate for our stay.Beds were comfortable and shower was excellent. We had free use of the common living room which had further amenities for cooking including a big oven.Hosts were friendly and Anna baked excellent cakes daily with fresh greens from her garden. The hosts were kind enough to allow us to use their washing machine albeit with a 2000isk charge per load

Everything is well designed. Kitchen was stocked with pots and pan and oil and spices. Easy check in. The space while not huge worked fine for our family of four adults.

Top compliment is that host was lightening fast in responding to a "problem" that didn't even exist. It was simply a difference between cultures. Our fault, but she was "Johnny On The Spot'. Host's husband was super sweet and friendly.

I loved absolutely everything about this manor. It was refined-country, cozy, crisp, and sophisticated-for-Iceland without being pretentious or minimalistic. Painted wooden panels, lush couches and beds that you sink into, spacious bathrooms. Beyond the decor being truly attractive, the staff was always smiling and helpful. After a freezing trip under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall's spray, I felt my extremities again in their clean sauna and further rejuvenated in the pool looking directly out into the landscape. Food was delicious with intriguing combinations of tastes. Parking was free and plentiful, access from the main road was simple, yet removed from the fray. I highly recommend this hotel/manor.

Easily the best place we stayed during our 10 day trip to Iceland. Walk through a meadow to the beach. Watch horses through the kitchen window. Very quiet and peaceful. A great place to stay and explore the south coast.
