I love how the space feels like coming back home, the owner is really kind, funny and I enjoy talking with him and other travelers. We sat all together and had some fun.time. The room I stayed in was a dormitory, the futon mattress was comfortable. I enjoyed the location as well. Even though it's a 30 min walk to the station, it's a really historical area and you will enjoy walking around. I highly recommend it!.

Meals were incredible, the staff waited on our every need the entire stay. Five course gourmet meals for dinner and a more than hearty breakfast every morning. We went with our kids and our youngest is 11 months old. They have us everything and more to make sure our kids had fun too. Honestly, our experience far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be coming back!!

Very big space in the room which has a lake view. I am usually sceptical of buffet dinners, but the one at Shion was amazing - get the beef/steak which is cooked on the spot! There is also a washer (free but pay for detergent) and dryer (not free) available in the basement.
