This is an exceptional experience. The owner of KOMINKA guest house went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. He even went out of his way to pick me up from the train station and dropped me off as well the next day. He took me to his favorite onsen bathhouse. Afterwards He made me dinner and put on a performance with the many different instruments he plays. His english is very good and was able to communicate with me, who knows little to no japanese. If you are looking for a truly authentic mountain japanese experience, I urge you not to miss the opportunity to stay at the KOMINKA guest house while in Japan.

On a good day, there's a really nice view of the countryside. I really liked that it had everything that you need to cook, bbq, fireplace. Spacious and very relaxing. Best to stay after a trip through the Kurobe Alpine Route.
