Our experience at Wildhideaway Wilpattu was the highlight of our Srilanka trip. It is an amazing experience. Situated right on the edge of Wilpattu National park these minimalist cottages provide an authentic feeling of oneness with nature. The srilankan cuisine served every evening was a curated menu of traditional Srilankan dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Served under the starlight the lantern lit dinners were highly enjoyable and very relaxing. The main reason we would always choose wildhideaway wilpattu to stay and safari with is its owner Mr Anto. His inimitable passion and dedication towards wildlife and photography is inspiring. He keeps himself aware on the animal sightings to give those who safari with him a greater chance of of catching a glimpse of these majestic creatures. On our safari we saw, leopards, elephant, sloth bear, hyena, python, crocodile and several others. The stay was simple comfortable. The rooms have been thoughtfully and sustainably designed. Tea and breakfast can be had while relaxing on the verandah. The stay at Wildhideaway Wilpattu taste of the raw beauty of Srilankan wilderness the memories will last us a lifetime.

The staff and service was what stands out the most, they do their best to ensure you are always safe and clean. It's on the expensive side but what you are paying for is the extensive knowledge of the guide on the safari which is missing in other places. We have both learnt a lot about different animals and behaviours on this safari and it's an experience that will stay with us forever

Our host was really kind, helpful and attentive, he arranged for us the Wilpattu National park private tour in jeep and a great dinner at the private terrasse of our house. Our host also organized and drove us to Sigiriya. He is the kindest host and person we met in Sri Lanka since we arrived. We highly recommend this private lovely house and would be pleased to stay again in a next trip !

Priya and his team couldn’t do enough for us and was so attentive with utmost understanding and kindness to our 22month old daughter. The food was fine dining at its best and kept making the chicken soup my daughter couldn’t get enough of. Priya’s knowledge of the wildlife in the park was great and again focusing on wildlife our daughter could see.

Beautiful setting. The camp is very spread out and the tents are spacious and clean. I’ve camped all my life and this did not disappoint as it was very luxurious comparatively. Keep in mind it’s still camping but the tents have all of the comforts of home with a full shower and bathroom as well as a sitting room. Upon arrival we received welcome drinks and were given a very informative orientation where they went over the tents, meals and meal options, afternoon tea, night and morning walks as well as the safari options. We chose to go with the full day safari and it did not disappoint, we saw a variety of birds, many deer, water buffalo, a sloth bear and three leopards(a mother and her two cubs). The bbq dinner was fantastic as we sat around a camp fire which was a gorgeous setting. The morning breakfast was also special and incredibly romantic. The staff was top notch and catered to our every need. This is a must experience if you love camping. The tents has no ac but a great fan which made for a good night sleep.

I loved the communication with the owner. He helped me organize everything I wanted and gave me a great idea for a walk in the area. My cabana was very nice and comfortable, with beautiful garden views. I was served dinner in the verandah which was amazing.

Quiet and cozy. The staff was phenomenal. We mistakenly got our dates mixed up (thanks jet lag) and showed up a day early. Staff was very accommodating and we were able to move up our booking by a day. Dinner was lovely and both afternoon and morning safaris were great. We loved our guide!

Really good location close to the national Park. We were originally supposed to stay in Green Sapphire but they let us down a few hours before we were due to arrive (seems they’ve done it a lot looking at the Google reviews), but the Mango Villa team had everything sorted even though we booked just a few hours earlier that day they were still able to organise 2 full day safaris for the following 2 days where we saw all sorts of great wildlife. Staff are all really friendly, especially the man who brings the food across in the evenings (unfortunately I don’t know his name). The food is good especially considering the remote location and nice packed lunches for the safari each day. Definitely the place to stay if you’re planning a Wilpattu safari!

Didn't realise there was going to be a pool - what a surprise! We jumped in after our afternoon safari. Speaking of which, the hotel were incredibly helpful at helping us organise our safari last minute. The people here are so kind. We were greeted with drinks when we arrived, when we came back from safari. It's all felt very luxurious! Dinner was really tasty, as was breakfast and the room is really nice.
