The staff, starting from the front desk porter to kitchen staff, the wait staff to the room service everyone was exceptional and courteous. Felt like they were all in a mission to make sure the guests are taken care of no matter what. I lost count on how many times per day random and different staff asked if we need anything or how they can make our stay exceptional. Simply unbelievable and unexpected. The food was amazing and full of variety. The kitchen staff went above and beyond and out of their way to make special request food for my expecting wife's cravings. I was in hospitality business once upon a time and even for me this is next level guest satisfaction. Overall 5 star guest experience and the staff truly set the bench mark for great customer service in the hospitality business. Something I haven't experienced even in the United States. Also a shoutout to wait staff Shashikala and the crew at the buffet for the kindness and effort to make our stay better.. Keep up the good work.

The location is perfect—just a short stroll to the beach—and the value for what you get is truly unmatched. They were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help with anything I needed. Honestly, I might have taken advantage of their generosity a little (they were just that amazing!). We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage Negombo! The receptionists were the sweetest, we felt really welcome. The staff was really attentive and cared about us, going out of their way to make our stay great. The room was as described, the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the evening and morning swim at the pool, it was something magical! Our heartfelt compliments to the chef - we absolutely LOVED the food! In the morning, the cook prepared the breakfast from the coconut he harvested from the hotel's garden that same morning! The location is a bit remote, but also very calm and quiet. Walking around we could peek into the lives of common Sri Lankans. All in all, a great stay, recommended!

Camilas was amazing from the start. He messaged me a couple of days beforehand to ask what time I would be arriving and we arranged to meet. at the property. I was welcomed with a drink, fresh fruit and cake. The studio was amazing value for money. Great views, extremely clean with a huge comfortable bed, balcony overlooking the beach with great views, kitchenette and great shower/bathroom. There was a welcome bowl of fresh fruit, plenty of towels, toiletries and free wifi. Camilas gave me restaurant recommendations, places of interest to visit and loaned me a bicylcle to get around. I couldn't recommend him highly enough. Negombo was pretty quiet from a tourist perspective, but plenty of great food options including both local and international cuisine.
