Wow, what a two week away we had! The pictures do not do the place (or surroundings!) justice; it is astonishingly beautiful. Very informative check-in instructions, absolutely spotlessly clean inside and out, incredibly comfortable beds and soft linen, the house is far bigger than the pictures suggest, very well equipped kitchen and the sensational view from every window..it was the best holiday we've ever been on. Thank you Isuru for having us, we would love to stay again!

Talalla Retreat is a beautiful property, set on a long, quiet beach - perhaps one of the best in Sri Lanka, though I can't claim to have seen them all! The staff are kind and friendly, while giving guests the space that they need to unwind. Overall a very nourishing atmosphere for anyone looking to recharge.

This is a fantastic hotel! The garden is beautiful, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is either European or Sri Lankan, both delicious. The place is run with love and care. Big thank you to the people who work here. I'm definitely coming back

This family is very authentic and take care of you with their heart. They made sure that we had all we needed and even more. Very delicious food was cooked for us and we really felt like home. The house is 100m from the beach and on the balcony you can just sit for hours enjoying the silence and watch the wild birds and monkeys.

The very quiet Gardens, the lovely breakfasts, beautiful empty beach, lovely pool and courteous attentive staff. We had a gorgeous room with an out door,roll top bath. If you're looking for a quiet beach, this will hit the spot. The waves are strong so probably best for confident swimmers though you won't have to be an Olympian! The main house is also gorgeous with an airy colonial vibe. Evening meals can be taken at the beach restaurant over the road ( not a busy road). The place is gated with a 24hour watch for the security minded. Various swings, hammocks and board games dotted around. Peacocks, bee-eaters, monitor lizards and chipmunks abound. Heard a Coppersmith Barbet but didn't see it. Fruit bats fly over at sunset. Heaven!
