Stunning luxurious hotel with spacious comfortable rooms with huge beds and all the amenities you need. Great setting next to the lake and close to the yala national park where we saw leopards and elephants and many more . The best welcome and lovely staff . We were spoiled with a candlelit dinner by the lake with Chef Indika cooking up a beautiful Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast but also with western dishes for my kids . Chamath took care of all our needs and made some great recommendations . Our favorite place to stay in Sri Lanka. We wish we had stayed longer

This is a very comfortable hotel and the family who runs it is lovely! They took me to see bats flying at sunset and cooked incredible meals. I also did the full day safari - my guide was extremely knowledgeable and respectful of the animals’ environment.

Black Panther is the reason I like to stay in well run family hotels. Exceptional service! I’m not exaggerating. We stayed at a 5star hotel in Ella prior for 2nights and the service provided by the owner Nalin is comparable or better as he will personally cater to your needs as requested. The place is clean, the room we stayed in was a good size, had a clean comfortable bed, shower has hot water, good air conditioning kept room at perfect temp, and strong WiFi throughout the whole property. Food prepared by Nalin and his wife is delicious. Also the hotel is located close to Debarawewa lake which is full of birds and saw several crocodiles along the edge of the lake. Tissa lake with even more birds and fruit bats is a short tuk tuk ride away which the host can arrange. Great communication via Whatsup before arrival. Host can arrange transportation from Ella or Mirissa for a fair price as well.

The place was stunning, comfortable and lovely. We had the best BBQ of our lifes❤️ Silva (manager and guide) was a hidden gem of this place. He made us feel great and assured an amazing stay! King Reach also organized a great Safari where we could see a Leopard! Important: it is very rare to see a Leopard or Elefant (we didn’t see any) in yala at this time of the year. So remember it’s possible you come back just with some crocodile and monkey pics. Still it’s not the fault of the hotel or the Safari guide/driver the animals have enough food and water to stay in the bushes ! Thank you for this great experience!

Randy and his family are great people, their place is amazing, in the middle of nowhere but with all the needed facilities. It has been a great experience to have dinner in their accommodation and we had the opportunity to discover more about their village thanks to Randy’s guided tour. We definitely recommend this place!!
