Perast landscapes with old-world charm, the Contre Hotel and Restaurant proved to be an absolute gem of a find. From the moment we stepped foot into the lobby, we were greeted by Edo with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay. Staff kindness and attentiveness were unparalleled, making us feel not just like guests, but like cherished members of their extended family. Every interaction with the staff left us with a smile on our faces. Many thanks to Edo who went above and beyond to accommodate our requests :) As for the hotel itself, charming old stone house, our room overlooked a breathtaking view of Boka Bay, garden, providing the perfect backdrop for morning coffee or evening relaxation at the balcony. It’s a lovely appartement very close to the old town entrance. All shops bars restaurants cafes are nearby. With a good view of the church from the room, super quiet. However the check in, you have to go to their office first, then staff brings you to the room. Parking it’s a problem, either you are lucky parking free in the small lane. Either you are lucky finding a spot in the nearby parking lots, which cost 0.8 euros/ hour. Even April which is not a peak season, the parking space can be limited

I am super happy that we have discovered this apartment. :) First of all, hosts have 2 dogs, German Shepherd Otto and Maltese Nole, who greeted us upon our arrival. I immediately fell in love with Otto ❤️ what a cuddling dog he is! Nole sorry, you are cute as well! Hosts are incredible, they hosted us and we've spent a couple of hours sitting in the lovely garden, drinking amazing homemade rakija. Thank you! The apartment is spacious, and the terrace is beautiful to sit and enjoy when needed. The apartment is super close to Kotor, Tivat and Budva, and Bar is not so far away (1, 5 h drive). The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with a "Balkan village" charm.

Amazing property with amazing staff throughout (front desk, room attendants, wait staff - both on dinner and during the breakfast). Our suite was well-appointed and nicely equipped. SPA area is very nice (saunas) and the pool was warm. Definitely recommend.

I've never been to a hotel before where they give you such considered and personal service. Aleksandra and her team went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Hotel Capitano. The hotel itself is tucked away by the ferry port - and just to say that the windows are good so you can't hear anything. I was a solo traveller and Aleksandra was kind enough to drive me herself to a nearby beach she recommended. Luka was fantastic and accommodating and very impressive with the languages he quickly changed through according to the guests. It's well worth having the dinner on the nights they offer it, the seafood is beautiful. And as a non- Chardonnay- liking person, I loved the Montenegrin Chardonnay! The staff help you find the best routes to the nearby places, like Perast and Herceg Novi, and it's a lovely home base to come back to. I chose this hotel because I saw other solo travellers had found it so lovely, and I'm glad I did the same, but there were lots of nice couples as well. Everyone was very polite and friendly to each other, while letting each other be. I couldn't recommend Hotel Capitano enough.
