Paguro Seaview's team are fantastic - welcoming, accommodating, going the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay with them. The hotel is small, right at Bikini Beach which offers beautiful sunsets. You can book various excursions and activities by boat to enjoy the ocean life and coral reefs. We joined manta rays, turtles and nurse sharks snorkelling trips and couldn't get enough! Paguro Seaview is an absolute gem and we'd gladly be back!

I came on a solo trip to the Maldives and stayed 4 days in Bougan Villea retreat. I felt so welcome and taken care of throughout. The inn is new so everything is clean and in great condition. The local beach is currently under reclamation but the bikini beach is just a 3 minute walk away. The beach there is beautiful with a truly amazing house reef. I snorkelled there about 8 times in the 4 days and I saw pufferfish, squid/calamari, sharks, and even caught glimpse of a manta coming to the reef. A special thanks to Anwar from the resort, who personally brought me snorkelling to show me the good spots. He also brought me to see the night feeding of nurse sharks, and took me on a motorcycle ride around the island on my last night. As a guests, I was able to borrow snorkel equipment for free, as well as the stand up paddleboard. The highlight of my trip was paying to go out to swim with the Manta Rays, an experience I will never forget. They were huge and majestic, and it was just magical. Although the island is not big, I’m thankful for the 4 days at this lovely place.

This is an excellent location for snorkelling. The Villa was superb with private beach, astonishing sunset. The restaurant and food was really good, thanks to the chef. Staffs are really helpful in everyway. And the fishing experience was mindblowing. Thanks to everyone, we enjoyed a lot.

We had a most magical time at Sands Inn at Mathiveri. The Fahudh and Niro are the most lovely people and made us feel comfortable at once. Fahudh, the manager was always reachable and helped us with everything, starting with typical requests like travel arrangements and trips, but also with other wishes and problems like buying some special local food or an ATM machine, that did not work on our last day, when we urgently needed cash. We had breakfast and lunch everyday. The food Niro prepared was incredible good and diverse, although we are difficult to serve as vegans. ;) Vegan fluffy pancakes like we never had before and the curries we will remember forever. The location of the Inn was also perfect. In 2-3 minutes to dreamy spots at the bikini beach and as well in 3 minutes at the harbour, where we watched dozens of nurse sharks and stingrays at many nights. Google maps makes it look like the bikini beach, is in the south west further away, but when we were there in November 2023 many parts along the south side were designated as bikini beach. On the public beaches you really have to be covered or someone will immediately tell you to put on clothes. But this is the same on all local islands. We did two trips. One to see Mantas and one to see Whale Sharks and both were successful and good organized. The snorkelling possibilities on south side, bikini beach are not so great. We found some nice spots behind the picinic island, where you can easily swim to. But there is also a better snorkelling area south of the harbour. There you have to pass a long not so deep area with corals to get to the deeper and beautiful area. This is only possible during the high tide. It is a bit stressful not to touch the Corals. The danger of getting hurt by the Corals is not so high, but you should also not touch them in order not to destroy them. Of course you have to swim with long cloth there, but you want to do this on sunny days anyway in order not to get heavily sun burned.

We loved everything about this guesthouse. The location is perfect, right next to the bikini beach. Once again we would like to thank Areesh and his team for being super nice and helpful and for organizing our transfers from the airport and helping us with the luggage. You don't need agency when you book with Areesh ;) The island itself is a must-visit! The white sandy beach is beautiful and has a lot of palm trees! We had a wonderful time and we're definitely coming back :) Greetings from Sara and Kenan!

We liked the location and the friendly staff who worked really hard to make our holiday very special The food was fabulous, excursions from the hotel and the watersports equipment and kayaks were great . Everything was perfect for us and thanks to Faisal and his team for making our time at Veli Beach so memorable.

everything. all the guys of the staff were so nice and helpful. the room was cleaned everyday and was always perfect and mathiveri, what can i say… the paradise! a little pearl, where you can see the real life of maldives. i hope tourism don’t ruin it, beacuse it was really wonderful! hope to return! thank’s for all mathiveri and mahchavaru maldives!

Hospitable, responsive, friendly and positive staff, always ready to assist with any question. Perfect cleanliness, delicious food; water, coffee and tea are always available. The room is equipped with everything you need, including a hairdryer, comfortable bed. The room is about 22-23 square meters, furniture and everything is new. Excellent value for money. Interesting excursions to lagoons to manta rays, whale sharks, uninhabited islands, snorkeling, dolphin and fishing trips. We’ve chosen the manta ray one and it was magnificent. The staff takes pictures of you on underwater camera and sends you the edited video, you don't even have to take your camera. You can make a jet ski ride or take a canoe (1 and/or 2-seater) and go to the nearby very pretty picnic island, or swim to it, which can be dangerous for untrained swimmers – the current is quite fast in the strait. There are only 4 rooms in the guesthouse, not many people in the hotel courtyard. Local residents are very kind and friendly. In general, the island is practically free of tourists, so beaches and the whole island are clean, especially the deserted bikini beach - complete experience of nature 😊 (compared to neighboring islands, with a lot of tourists). Bikini beach is good enough for tourists with young children: shallow water and almost never waves – the whole island is protected from large waves by a reef encircling from all sides, the water is always transparent. There are corals in the shore area, but not too much. Wildlife is very diverse, several times a day eagle stingrays swim by in 5 meters from the shore. There are a lot of nurse sharks in the harbor. Stingray beach is not bad, also with stingrays. Sun-set beach is magnificent because of its palm grove. Some of the best photos are from this beach.
