The place is very nice. The small town offers a view into portugiese life and is not in one of the tourist towns. The supermarket and cafes are close and so is a small beach on the riverside of the Duoro. In the evenings we could sit on the large terrace and enjoy the evening sun. The apartment is rather large. Monica is very helpful and nice and then we had troube with wlan was very quick to solve the problems.

Refúgio was even better than expected. The rustic property is situated in the middle of the nature with amazing views and lots of privacy. The hosts Bárbara and Marlene were always in touch to make sure our stay was perfect. We expect to repeat soon :)

We travelled with our 1 year old baby and was awesome! The kitchen is fully equipped (coffee machine with capsules!), bathrooms very cleans, hot water, WiFi, TV, AC (cold and hot), around 4 hectares of land to explore (the baby loved that) and Aurora (the host) is extremely communicative. She and her son helped us with all details about the area, where are the supermarkets, restaurants and gas stations. Also which is the faster way to Porto (only 20 minutes by car!). We were lucky to have a Full Moon and was INCREDIBLE! Free parking at the location up to two-three cars. Thank you for all, Aurora!

Boutique hotel, so they personally take care of you. It feels like you are staying in a beautiful country home. The grounds and pool are very well taken care of and beautiful. Our room was very clean and modern. Our kitchen in our room was big enough for us to prepare meals. They provided the best breakfast we have had in Portugal. The chef personally makes your breakfast for each individual family. 30 mins to Porto. Perfect day trip. Grocery store, bread truck, seafood store and bakery a 5 min drive away.

On our arrival the welcome basket was much appreciated after a late flight. Loved the swimming pool, Very nice views over the valley. Lots of outside seating to relax in with a glass of wine after a day exploring. The property was designed and built to a high standard.

lovely attention to detail with everything you could need from the kitchen facilities and toiletries in the bathroom. the property is very well designed and feels comfortable and private. it’s lovely to wake up in the morning and see the lovely garden. the hosts were so lovely and did a great job at making sure we had everything we need.
