WOW!! If you are even thinking about booking Casa do Penedo, just do it. The scenery is amazing, the house is huge with all the comforts of home and a unique collection of art. About 30 minutes drive to the village of Geres. The kayaks were fun on the river but boy the current was tough, and we loved spending lounge time in the pool after a day of sightseeing nearby villages or hiking. We grilled every night and dined al fresco at the large table (even beautiful table clothes provided) and enjoyed our morning coffee on the veranda with the most beautiful mountain and river views. We hardly saw anyone during our stay and it was like we had the entire mountain to ourselves. Can't wait to go back!

Nice stone house with modern kitchen and facilities. Very good fireplace. Close to the road, but it is not noisy at all. Super nice and friendly host which helped us a lot.

The apartment (it isn’t a house) is in a quiet location with a nice view from the narrow balcony but there are several dogs in the neighbourhood who bark in the night. The owner lives next door. The apartment was very clean and nice towels were provided.

The place is a perfect vacation house, the stone walls with wooden ceiling are amazing and give a great feeling. The view and all the facilities inside are of the best we have seen. Highly recommended

The view from the balcony and bedrooms is amazing. The property was fully equipped with everything we need - kitchen, air conditioned, car park, etc... And everything very cleaned.
