The property is so pretty- the gardens are beautiful and it’s a quick walk to the beach. Although TianDe isn’t directly on the beach, Mariola (the owner) has a friendly relationship with a neighboring hotel that is first row, so guests can spend time there during the day. The bar and restaurant area are lovely and the food is yummy and fresh- we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is sparkling, and the staff is warm and hard-working. Our room was clean and comfortable, with A/C, tea/coffee, good shower, nice decor. Mariola and her boyfriend live on site- they are doing a fantastic job running TianDe with a lot of hard work and love. We wish them success and will recommend to TianDe to anyone traveling to Zanzibar.

The entire property, including the pool, was very clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is superior and made fresh - not buffet. We were three adults and our room had three beds and plenty of space.

We liked everything! The check-in process was so smooth and quick! Our family room was specious, spotless clean with very curated details. The a/c was working well and also a fan. It's a small resort (6 or 8 rooms) which makes it very cozy. The room had a beautiful terrace with sunbeds, an umbrella and easy access to the beach. One night the ocean was very active and you could hear the waves very close; we liked this experience very much! The breakfast is very rich, fresh and the Italian touch is clear all over. The kitchen is the cleanest we saw in Zanzibar (we had a glimpse when the door was swiftly open while we were waiting for our order. The lunch and dinner were very good and enjoyable, too! All meals were served in the restaurant with a unique ocean view. Also the infinity pool, available 24hrs, was very nice. Overall, we highly recommend Imara. Thanks Erika and the whole staff for making our stay a memorable one!
