They provided directions and food recommendations. I also liked the location of the hotel because you can walk everywhere! I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Beijing.

Sophie went out of her way to help us during our transit in Beijing, from picking us up and dropping us off at the airport early in the morning and late at night to taking us to the Great Wall during the day. She was exceptionally kind and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated, and is ideally located for a layover - only about 15 minutes from the airport. The accommodation provides room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. The best thing, apart from the really interesting location, room comfort and the food was the front desk ladies - they made our holiday truly a Chinese experience - they were great ambassadors for their country - helped with bookings, transport and had great advice to make the most of the attractions. Every recommendation made by them was gold - from choice of restaurants, bars and sights - and came with good instructions in English on how to get there.

Guests at Encounter Garden Great Wall Holiday Guesthouse can enjoy billiards on-site, or cycling in the surroundings. absolutely loved staying here! The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. The dinners were exceptional—every dish was delicious. They even taught us how to make dumplings and kindly offered us a complimentary lift to the Great Wall. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and would definitely come back!
