The staff (ie Jing Jing) went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They also helped organize our day trips. The A/C is strong relative to most places we have stayed at in China.

For example, I loved the longan, date, and wolfberry tea that they prepare for guests in their rooms and so I asked where I could purchase it. Instead the manager even generously helped me to get the right ingredients to take home so I can make it myself!! Really above and beyond.

Owner (Mr Zhu) is so friendly and so hospitable that we extended another night on the spot! He even arranged pickup and drop off at the train station for us. Room even comes with a washer for your laundry. Great views of the city and surrounding due to it been on a high floor. Remember to have tea with Mr Zhu!!

Great host - he greeted us when the taxi arrived and helped transfer our luggage to the lodging and our room. He also bought us breakfast and hung it outside our door when he found out that we had to check out at 6am to catch the train. The room was also spacious and comfortable! It was an enjoyable stay.

The location of the guesthouse was only 5 minutes to one of the main plaza where you can enjoy the nightly communal dances. Many restaurants and shops nearby. only about 15-20 minutes walk to the Dukezong ancient town and Moonlight square.

InterContinental Kunming is a 10-minute drive from Xishan Forest Park and Haigeng Park. Kunming Railway Station is a 30-minute drive away while Kunming Changshui Airport is a 40-minute drive away. The staffs are helpful friendly and always offer help when requested. They are well trained with highly etiquette. Few worth mentioning occasions are a concierge staff offer to drive me near to the lake where I wanted to go baggie and show me the hotel surrounding. Gardening staff politely wait for guests to walk past them before carry on their jobs. Staff try their best to extend for me a late check out where by flight is at mid-night. A management staff offer to bring me to the correct lobby lift and more. Overall a very pleasant experience.
