I was travelling solo and always felt safe and Heather and Maria were outstanding hosts, even packed me a lunch for my drive to the airport!

We cannot speak highly enough of our stay at Cerro da Campaniça! The room was beautiful, light filled and wonderfully comfortable, with amazing views. The host was incredible and is an excellent chef - the dinner and breakfast were delicious! He was also very informative of Portuguese history, food and farming - every conversation was an opportunity to learn. Even more appreciated was his understanding when we ran into health issues that impacted the length of our stay - he was super supportive and helped make a difficult situation much easier. Highly recommend staying here!

Located in the village of Brejinho de Água do Sul, a 15-minute drive from the town of Grândola, Monte do Brejinho de Água offers apartments with traditional and simple architecture. The owner was a lovely host and could not have been kinder. This is his families property for generations and his commitment and passion can be felt. He gave us very his tips, provided us with an ice bag to keep our wine chilled and accommodated my husband for his business calls in a quiet space. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom. Breakfast was very good and home made.

Set within 19 km of Sardao Cape and 32 km of Sao Clemente Fort, Herdade do Kuanza offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Zambujeira do Mar. Absolutely fantastic. The place is amazing, the house was very modern and we'll decorated and the staff, namely Assunção and Carmo, were extremely friendly and nice. Will return one day.

The Ponte Pedra - Melides Country House Adults Only is 7 km from the small and quiet village of Melides and 10 km from the centre of Santiago do Cacém. Everything is perfect, the hosts and the the staff are all so kind.

Herdade do Sardanito da Frente is a rural tourism property located within a 140-hectare estate located in Southwest Alentejo, within the Vicentine Coast Natural Park. Absolute surprise. We were just killing time and looking for a convenient location as we were on the road. It was an absolutely beautiful property set on a working farm, secluded but close to town and utterly quiet. We weren't prepared for the beauty of the place and the comfort of the room, or the full breakfast with any option you could imagine. The staff was remarkably friendly, as I should say everyone we talked with in Portugal.

Located in the Vicentine Coast Natural Park, 1km from the village of Brejão, Monte da Boavista offers the unique tranquillity of the Alentejo region. Carvalhal and Amalia Beaches are 3 km away. A very cozy and quiet place, well equipped and not too far away from beautiful beaches. Bed was very comfy and we had a doublesided fireplace which we enjoyed very much. The kitchen had everything you need, including a toaster and a dishwasher. Communication with Carla was very cordial and helpful. And the homemade bread and pumpkin jam were delicious. You have to have a car to get to restaurants, supermarkets and beaches, but the tranquility is exactly what we wanted. Couldn't recommend the place enough.

Amor de Criança is a rural property, offering rustic and newly built units in the area of São Teotónio, south Odemira. It features a swimming pool surrounded by a pond and large green areas. Amor de Criança is a refuge of peace and happiness in the middle of nature. The hosts are very forthcoming and provided us with fresh fruits from the garden, as well as fresh eggs from their own chicken. Bonus points for the pool and the most chill dogs we've met 👍

Featuring panoramic views of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo, Monte Da Galrixa offers rooms and apartments with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Facilities include an outdoor saltwater pool. It's a nice place for one or two nights to stay and look around. The garden was very beautiful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Delicious breakfast, friendly staff.
