This is an amazing hotel very comfortable very quiet with a view of the Matterhorn from my windows the breakfast is the best I’ve ever experienced in the hotel in my 70 years. Situated close to the ski lifts in Zermatt, Alpen Resort & Spa features a restaurant, and spacious rooms with cable TV. WiFi in the entire building and transport from Zermatt Train Station from 07:00 o'clock to 21:00 o'clock are both offered for free. There is also an outdoor tennis court on site . Excellent hotel with beautiful facilities and amazing service. I forgot a wallet with documents and credit cards in the room safe and the staff did everything they could to get the wallet to me in a train station that was more than one hour away. Very attentive staff through out our stay too.

A perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate after a Materhorn ultraks marathon. Amazing view to Materhorn from the pool and rooms. The incredibly welcoming, accomodating people at the front desk.The dining was a culinary delight. The wine from the nearby region. Superb breakfast.

Our room was on the backside and although the place seemed busy in the lobby our room was quiet. We decided to have dinner at DaVinchi. The staff accommodated us and we ate in the common area. Nevertheless, it was the friendliness and personal attention from everyone in the hotell staff that made the biggest impression. Top notch!

The location of the Montela resort was near the bus stop " unter den Berg " in Saas Grund . The friendly staff and the whole place was just amazing . Very clean and in the kitchen you have everything you need . Even cheese fondue and raclette pans , Nespresso machine ( with a few Nespresso capsules ) ,tea bags , olive oil and balsamic vinegar . The included Saastal card was very convenient .

I understand there was a recent renovation and they did a great job. The location is right across from the train station (walkable even with luggage) and right next to the gornergrat rail station. The staff were beyond pleasant and friendly, we especially loved the bartender (forgot her name lol). The spa is the most luxurious spa I’ve ever seen…and I’ve been to some lovely high end spas. We loved the pool! The breakfast buffet is great with fantastic coffee. Honestly…the attention to detail everywhere made our stay so very special.
