Rooms with all appliances you could need (stove, fridge, microwave, washing machine, dish washer). We got a nice sauna time with river view. Rented bikes provided for free for a lovely trip around town!

This property is on a family farm, 12 km outside Savonlinna and 10 minutes’ walk from Lake Pellosjärvi. It offers a private beach, a lakeside sauna and a summer restaurant. The hosts are considerate of customer language challenges with Finnish, and were helpful with local travel logistics as the area hosts a yearly opera festival each July. Room was exceptionally clean and included a bidet hose, little known in the Americas but a very refreshing hygiene feature. Exceptional amenities included a shared kitchen space with common games for casual interaction, row boats and fishing tackle.

This hotel is right by the River Pielisjoki and 200 metres from Joensuu Station. It has a restaurant, pub and a nightclub. Free Wi-Fi is included in all rooms at Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel Joensuu. Lovely, comfortable room, helpful staff and very easy access to the train station

Very good breakfast and excellent view of lake and forest. Also do not forget about the smoking sauna, which is much better than electrical sauna in our own apartment. Very relax and reset days in lomamokkila.

Spahotel Casino is located on a private island on Lake Saimaa, 500 m from city center of Savonlinna and the 15th-century Olavinlinna Castle is 1.5 km away. The room we were given in was outstanding with an exquisite view over Lake Saimaa. This was the best view we had from a hotel in our trip through Scandinavia. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast had a large variety! The location of the hotel was perfect.
