Clean, comfortable room, very cozy. Completely dark and quiet at night. Nice view over Matsumoto and the mountains.
Beautiful outdoor and indoor Onsen and small sauna.
Couple of free things that sweetened the experience: very tasty soup in the evening, popsicles next to the Onsen, welcome drink.
Good location, close to restaurants, could walk to the castle.
The room is rather small, but normal for Japan and well designed to feel spacious.

It's a great place to stay, the staff there is amazing. They'll go over and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible, with friendly vibes. I found the location very convenient close to the bus station but also from the city centre. The room was spacious and the bed was of good quality. This was the end of my trip to Japan and the staff was for me the highlight of my stay, I have rarely met such dedicated professionals. The Breakfast was super good! don't miss the pancakes.
Excellent location, right across the road from major shopping malls and restaurants. We booked a deluxe twin room and a double room. Twin room was good sized with 2 arm chairs. Double room was small, some difficulty opening luggage, but I guess that's the case with most Japan hotels near the city centre. Free amenities - bath salts, facial wash, facial moisturiser, cutlery etc. In fact, it's the most comprehensive list of free amenities that's I've ever come across in a Japan hotel.
The staff was one of the kindest we encoutered during our trip in Japan. Also, the bed was so confortable, it is by far the best night we had in Japan (and we did some nice ryokan and 4 stars hotel). Location is greaf, cafe and loung place super nice as well. I dont see how I couldn't give 10 :)
Fantastic location just across from the JR Echigo Yuzawa station. Hotel is a little old, but the Japanese rooms are very well maintained, and the corridors have been renovated. The buffet breakfast and dinner has a very wide variety, but more importantly, of high quality! The onsen has 3 hot pools, one cold pool and a sauna. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's surprising this hotel has "only" 4 stars, it could probably easily qualify for 5. Service is high level, and so is design and the view. Location is perfect. Brand new shopping center below the hotel is upscale, the room is large, pillows are soft and mattresses welcoming... Even the price is great. What can you ask for?
Beautifully designed hotel with stylish and comfortable rooms. The location was fantastic. Very close to the main attractions of Kanazawa castle, Kenrokuen gardens, modern art museum and the samurai district. The geisha district (Higashi Chaya) was a little further away but still walkable. The Taiwanese breakfast was interesting, but might not be to everyone’s taste.
A modern and stylishly appointed hotel. Everything was tasteful with a chic ambiance. The room was comfortable but of typical Japanese proportions. We did not have the breakfast, which cost a very reasonable JPY1,300, but it looked good. The hotel's location, whilst not adjacent to the station and bus terminal, is an easy 8 minute walk, even with suitcases. The Hotel's onsen was hot and excellent. There are many restaurants, some cafes and a huge supermarket within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is definitely a 10!
The chalet/cabin was exceptionally comfortable. It was spacious, modern, warm, and had every fitting, utensil and item you could need. It was so thoughtfully designed with high quality finishing, it was luxury! The location was amazing, beautiful views of the ranges and surrounded by rice fields (snow covered for us) - it was so picturesque! Close to shops, restaurants and slopes. And the owners Yoko and Kazu were BEYOND kind and helpful. An absolute must stay! Our favourite of all three weeks (and 6 accommodations) across Japan.
