The owners of the camp were really friendly and helpful, they picked us up on the street (the entry to the dessert) and guided us to the camp. The street to the camp is a little rough but it’s doable with a normal car. They welcomed us with some delicious tea. We did a 1 hour camel ride for sunset. Dinner has also been really delicious.
Stumbling upon Larbi and Naim’s home while frantically searching for a place to stay before heading into the desert was a stroke of luck. They treated my partner and me to the best hospLihoudi we received during all our travels in Morocco. Their welcome was felt instantly: mint tea and delicious tagine were prepared for us the minute we arrived, which was comforting after the many hours spent in the car from Ouarzazate. Larbi and Naim are very knowledgeable hosts, as they have spent their lives in the desert. They are very flexible and will customize your experience to suit your ideal trek, and can be easily reached on WhatsApp. We got lucky, as they were planning on leaving for a trek the morning after we arrived. We stayed one night in their camp near Erg Lihoudi, which has comfortable beds, toilets, and showers. Naim met us on the highway and showed us the path to their camp, which was drivable in our rental car. We decided to do a 3-night camel trek in the desert, then head to Erg Chegaga by 4x4 and stay another night there. Their price is very fair compared with many other camps, and the care they showed us was incredible. Naim led our trek, and over the three nights, we began to understand the nomad way of life in the Sahara. Spending time in the desert with them makes you appreciate the silence and clarity only a simple life in the desert can provide. Not to mention, Naim is an excellent cook, and he made the best tagines we had during our 6 weeks in Morocco! On the last day of the trek, Larbi met up with us, and we headed to Erg Chigaga, making stops along the way to see ostriches, gazelles, and baby camels. Upon arrival at the camp, we sand boarded on dunes and made our way to the tallest dune in Erg Chigaga for a magical sunset, one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Larbi was a great person to have guiding us as he kept telling us stories from his experiences living in the desert.
We had a good time. This is in the middle of the Sahara, with plenty of dunes nearby, camels resting in the distance, and a clear sky that allows us to see the stars beautifully. After dinner, an authentic song by the Berbers who run the place around the campfire. I did enjoy it a lot.
Personal is very nice and try to find solution as much as possible The food was really good also
The staff was very helpful, and the location on the edge of the desert was perfect.
Ali and Mohammed are great host. They picked us up from mhamid and transferred us to the camp at around 14:30 we were picked up and drove around 2 hours into the desert. When we got there we got some tea and chilled in the common space meeting the other guest and after the sun dropped a bit we went for a walk in the desert to one of the highest dunes in the region. We then sand boarded and got served an amazing meal that could be vegetarian as well and all looked exquisite. They speak both English and French and can give you info on anything you may need. Would absolutely recommend if you want a more secluded and private experience in a smaller camp. Recommend star gazing towards 4:30am you can see the milky way perfectly.
Good people. Good food. Good energy. Clean, simple, pleasant room. Good locations with dunes. Suitable for those looking for peace and relaxation Possibility go to the dessert by 4x4 car or camel.
Everything was perfect. Said and his staff they were very friendly and helpful. They made an amazing trip for us to high dunes of Chegaga and almost was great experience. Food and accommodation were very good. Thank you guys looking forward to come back again.
The host was very generous and hospitable. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious and homemade.
The camp is perfectly situated on the edge of the dunes. The adobe rooms are better than tents because they are cooler during the day and warmer during the cold nights. The staff was fantastic, cooking excellent meals and playing drums and singing around the campfire at night. Hamsa, the guide and driver did an excellent job.
Not only the power of the desert was decisive for my experience, but also the care. My tent, traditional, furnished with large bed, good mattress and shower, nothing was missing. The food was delicious. Everything professionally organised especially the trip to erg Chegaga it was fab. visiting nomads and camel ride before sunset that was really great and staff cordial. I thank you and I'll be back.thank you Said:)
