Excellent location, on the top of a dune in the middle of the desert. Fantastic 360 degree view. 15 rooms, outside pool very nice, very good half board plan. Rooms are excellent equipped, with terrace overlooking the desert (the fact that you do not have TV it is rather an advantage). WiFi works very well. The manager (Mr Gautam Balram) is very friendly and helpful. From the activities, we would recommend "night safari and star watching" (ask for Faisal as your guide). Difficult to get there with your own car (do not attempt if you do not have a real 4 motion car and you are not an experienced driver). Aim for the sister camp (Arabian Oryx Camp), and ask the reception there to guide you for the last km, since google maps are not accurate. Parking is free. We would recommend to spend at least two nights there. One night it is not enough.

Speaking both Arabic and English, staff at the reception can help you plan your stay. Location is secluded, away from others, and much inside the desert. So you really get to feel living in the middle of a desert. The owner, Idris, is very humble and helpful with everything. The caretaker, Irfan, knew Hindi and possesses immense knowledge about the desert and Oman, he was a perfect guide for us. Don't miss the sunset walk with Irfan, once you reach the end on the other side and see the wadi, it's beautiful. They can also arrange for barbeque and bonfire if you like. Food is a little expensive, but then they have to go to the town to fetch most of the things, hence its justified.

The luxury tent specialises in a buffet and American breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. There is a coffee shop, bar and lounge.

Sightseeing tours are available around the property. The luxury tent has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. If you are looking for a full immersion in the Bedouins' traditions, the Authentic Desert Camp hosted by Saeed is the best experience you could find in Oman desert ! From Omani hospitality to traditional dancing demonstrations, through a full tour of the desert, meet up with camels roaming around, we felt so comfortable with Saeed, who shared with passion all his knowledge with us. Authentic food was served as well, including traditional Omani dishes and fresh grills, including traditional bread cooking in the fire. It was an amazing experience, totally adapted for kids, group of friends and families!

With inner courtyard views, this accommodation provides a patio. The luxury tent features mountain views, a picnic area and a 24-hour front desk. The stay at Desert Diamond Camp was excellent! Sultan picked us up from the meet point and took us to the camp and we were welcomed with a campfire and fresh tea and coffee! The tents were vary spacious, clean and cosy, and the bathroom facilities clean. The next morning we walked to the sand dunes and the children did sand boarding. Sultan especially and the camp staff ensured our stay was comfortable and we highly enjoyed our stay in the desert!
